Scandinavian style is the one I’d go with in my home without looking back, it just feels so me. So when I saw this apartment I was amazed. And you might wonder why – at first the space isn’t something outstanding or extraordinary, but I felt how peaceful is that apartment. Somebody once said ‘comfort over style’ (the phrase is under copyright!) and this apartment is the perfect proof as it may be less stylish than I’d like it to be, but it’s definitely comfy and warm and after all, what else do we need for a home?
Serbian Made: Jane Doe Vintage Shop
Happy Monday, everyone! Hope your weekend was fantastic and that you’re ready to embrace with a smile on your face a new week! I’ll be starting a new blogging week on creamylife with another Serbian Made feature. Perhaps you remember when last week I tweeted about meeting a sweet lady, owner of the 1st vintage shop in Belgrade. So, please enter now Jane Doe Vintage Shop and its owner Bojana – a twenty-something lady, in love with all things vintage, working hard to make her dreams come true! I chatted with her for some time last week and I must say, she’s so worth admiration! At a young age, Bojana has her own vintage shop running for a year and half now, she’s traveled throughout Europe and she now has business partners in England, Portugal, Israel, France and other countries. Doesn’t this sound impressive?!
Etsy: Bagatelles and Co
Have no idea how did I come across Bagatelles and Co Etsy shop, but I’m absolutely over the moon after I saw the shop’s items! Who loves retro raise your hand! Oh I see you! And I want you to visit the shop with the lovely and the most beautiful retro (and handmade!) purses ever! Aw, you must see those colorful fabrics used for creating the clutches! I’m slowly dying! Totally in love with Mademoiselle Bagatelle (owner of the shop)! Take a look at these beauties!
Country Kitchen Inspiration
I almost forgot how beautiful country kitchens are! Thanks to House to home, I remembered the sweet details and colors you can put on when decorating a country styled kitchen! And actually hey, a country kitchen is a favorite of mine, perhaps even my dream kitchen, even more now, when I saw the beautiful inspiring pictures over at House to Home! I thought I should share with you the blissful images, so here they are:
Etsy: Emma Lamb
Let’s do some virtual shopping now, shall we? I’m taking you now to Edinburgh, UK to visit a lovely shop full of handmade crocheted, knitted, embroidered vintage accessories, such as granny rugs, cushions, pincushions, garlands and more! Oh, please meet the owner of this sweet shop, Emma Lamb! She’s an avid lover of two things: vintage & retro style and crochet, knit, embroidery, so she had the fabulous idea of combining her passions and now she’s doing what she likes the most and selling them or better said sharing them with the other people. Besides her shop, Emma can be found on her blog, Flickr and Pinterest. Speaking of Pinterest: when preparing my pinboard about what home means to me (remember that I’m a part of Pin it forward, right?) I could fill my board only with the cozy items from Emma’s shop, they look so comfortable and so home-y! Now let’s take a look at the beautiful items from Emma’s shop:
Vintage tea party
Wouldn’t be nice to host a vintage tea party, call your girlfriends, serve tea in mismatched vintage tea cups and enjoy mini-cupcakes? Oh my, I’m drooling over the idea :). And yes, I said mismatched vintage tea cups as they’re just so many beautiful designs over there that it’s very hard to decide and choose one! So, while I’ll be dreaming about a tea party, here are few vintage cups I found and they’re just pure gorgeousness! And how chic would be to have your every day tea in a cup like that?
Etsy: Brooklyn Rehab
I’m here to spread some Etsy + vintage love over here. I came across Brooklyn Rehab shop on Etsy and I think that shop is gorgeous! Brooklyn Rehab is making handmade vintage objects and is pretty good at this. So good that this seller is a member of Etsy’s Cabinet of Curiosities and was Etsy’s featured seller (read the interview here). Please take a look at the beauties:
Swedish Retro
I want to share with all of you now a home located in Sweden, designed by the talented Katrine Martensen-Larsen (remember I blogged about her home here?). It belongs to a young married couple and their two kids. The home is decorated in a funky retro style with touches of vintage and modern. That space feels very warm and inviting, with all the big windows and wood floors (might seem to be a little of Scandinavian, but it’s not). Take a look and convince yourself:
Dottie Angel
Hi, friends! Hope your week started good! I’m not feeling *so* good today (blame the rainy, cold weather ha!), but I wanted to share with you an Etsy shop I stumbled upon few hours ago. I’m talking about Dottie Angel, a wonderful lady in love with vintage and crafting! So if you love vintage as I do, head to her blog or Etsy shop or Flickr to get your dose of beautiful vintage and handmade stuff!
Hindsvik – the vintage treasure
You know I love vintage, don’t you? Alright, I didn’t post quite awhile about vintage and today I thought it’d be a great idea to do it as I came across an amazing Etsy shop full of vintage, Hindsvik. But now if to remember I think I saw it on sfgirlbybay some time ago. However, I’d like to introduce you to the shop, please take a look:
