iPhone 3GS Supreme-the most expensive cell phone in the world!

November 30th, 2009

iPhoneIn a world where everything is getting more expensive extremely fast, cell phone creators tend to break records at the chapter “the most expensive cell phone”.

Start Hughes, the designer of the most expensive cell phone in the world, needed 10 months to launch the newest and the most precious iPhone 3GS Supreme.

According to Techdigest, Start Hughes covered this last generation iPhone with 22K gold and 190 diamonds, which means that, unfortunately, few can afford it, it costs 1.9 million pounds=2 million euros :(.

For me it looks gorgeous and I wouldn’t mind to get a Christmas present like this. Would you? :)

[How to] Add sparkle effect to jewelry in Photoshop

November 30th, 2009

sparkling jewelleryGood evening, morning, day for everybody!!! You probably noticed already that I’m a fan of Photoshop and my articles about “[How to] in Photoshop” became a tradition. Today I will show and explain on my own example how to add sparkling effect to jewelry in Photoshop.

So, let the game begin!

1. First step is to choose the proper picture where you have at least one piece of jewelry, it doesn’t matter what: ring, earring, necklace and so on.

2. Then open this picture in Photoshop, by clicking File->Open and browse the picture or simple, just drag the picture on the working surface of Photoshop.

3. After opening the picture in Photoshop, you have one layer called Background, next you need to duplicate the layer: right click on Background layer, choose Duplicate layer.

4. Now you have two layers exactly the same, press on the layer named Background (the original layer). Go to Filter->Render->Lens Flare. Move the lens flare over the spot where you want it.  Adjust the Brightness to about 79  and select the 105mm Prime Lens Type.

5. In order to make the sparkle look more realistic, select the top layer (the duplicate layer you created in step 3) and set the Layer’s Blend Mode to Soft Light.

Different pictures may need different adjustments, but you can apply these steps to any picture and be sure that you’ll get the result that you expect :).

This is my result:

My impressions about “2012″

November 30th, 2009

UnknownI watched yesterday “2012″… Amazing movie, great effects…BUT!.. it was way to hard for me to see “our near future” from the director’s point  of view. Roland Emmerich and Harald Kloser thought about how to make a best-seller, but they forgot to think about the impact that this movie can have on human’s psychology :(. The movie has plenty of exciting moments, but at the same time a lot of sad moments, moments that almost made me cry; I think you will all agree that it’s painful to see how family (mother, father and a child) is killed by a tsunami, and they can’t do anything, and they just watch the huge wave coming toward them.

I heard a lot of comments about this movie and the conclusion I made is: “Don’t forget that it is just a movie, is made for cinema and don’t take it too seriously!”. This made me feel better a little and I think I will trust more comments like this than the director of the movie. So, we don’t have anything else to do than to be optimist and remember that 2012 will be a regular year, bringing good and bad moments, but for sure not the Apocalypse!

Fashion winter or boots for cold season 2010

November 29th, 2009

Fashion Prada bootsI’m continuing my research concerning what will be in vogue this winter, beginning with bags and ending with shoes. Well, now it’s time for shoes.

The main tendency for winter 2010 are over the knee boots, they can vary in colors, material, but there is one rule: over the knee!!! Just be careful, don’t exaggerate with this style, make sure you don’t wear with these boots some leather jacket, this way you’ll avoid looking like vamp-woman :). Instead you can wear a nice tunic, you won’t feel less attractive and sexy!

Delicious crepes? Nothing easier!

November 28th, 2009

crepesYesterday, me and my husband had the delicious idea to make crepes. For those who don’t know what is a “crepe” (like me, for example), I’ll explain: crepe=pancake!!! The well-known pancake that we all love has its other name, crepe, from Brittany, North-West of France, but now is widely developed in all France and became there something like “national cuisine”. There you can find crepes filled with fancy  products or crepes with sugar, the taste is still delightful!

So, as I started to say, yesterday we made crepes and decided that we will not make only one kind of pancakes, but instead we will fill them with different products that we can find in the fridge. First of all we needed to make the batter for our crepes. For this we needed:crepes-pancakes-palacinke

1. 200 g of flour
2. 2 eggs
3. 1 tbs. of oil
4. 200 ml of milk
5. 200 ml of mineral water (room temperature)
6. 1 tbs. of sugar

First step is to pour the milk, eggs, mineral water and sugar in a bowl and stir well. After this we added little by little the flour until we got an homogeneous mass and at the end we added the oil and stirred once again.

We finished the batter and then we fried the crepes. For this you need a pan rubbed with little butter or oil. The batter is spread evenly over the cooking surface of the pan either by tilting the pan or by distributing the batter with an offset spatula.

We made sweet and salty crepes, the sweet ones we filled with chocolate cream and jam, the salty ones were with sour-cream and ham, but you can put there everything your imagination suggests you to put :).

Bon appetit!!!

Trendy bags for winter 2010

November 26th, 2009

Nowadays, the bags lost their main purpose, to be the place where you put everything, they now can speak about the owner as well as clothes or make-up. The bags are the direct reflection of the woman and her style. So whoever you are, whatever you are doing, your bag always represents you and to be in vogue this winter, you must know what will be  called “trendy bag” in 2010.
