Mark Lund Photography

Another great and talented interior photographer who knows just perfect how to take the pictures in order to show the beauty, creativeness and coziness of any room! Seriously, I didn’t exaggerate at all! The way he’s shooting the spaces with all the colors and accessories is stunning! You know, it’s not just  enough to shoot an image, important is to show, through the picture, all the charm and the warmth of a room. At least, that’s how I think it should be. And Mark Lund‘s photography makes me want to move right away in those rooms or just spend a few minutes in each space! However, please join me in viewing the amazing work of a very inspiring artist!

Daisy from Copenhagen

Please enter Daisy Home, a store in Copenhagen that breathes with vintage! A very nice way to use vintage wallpapers for decorative boxes for jewelry and stuff like this (we, girls, know how much we need cute storage boxes, don’t we?). Handmade lampshades, fashion goodies, jewelry – all these you can find there! One thing is more than clear, the colors that have been used for the home accessories are amazingly beautiful – bright, bold and so very inspiring! A great way to bring the life in a room using the colorful boxes or lampshades! Take a look:

Color+Inspiration: Green+Orange

Good morning, lovelies! I’m an early bird today so let’s get to blogging immediately :). The color mix green+orange was suggested to me by my husband! That’s right, yesterday he decided to help a little by telling me some of his favorite combos. Green & orange seemed at first sort of weird – in my vision these colors just didn’t work good together. But then I researched a little, meditated and analyzed and agreed with him! I must admit that green, being a calming color and orange – an energizing one, make a great room balance, borrowing from each other softness and freshness. I even understood the tendency of painting a child’s room in green & orange – calm yet energized, and this sounds just perfect for a kid with healthy lifestyle! And it really isn’t important is it a bright green, lime or apple green – it all works just fine!

Sara Gilbane Interiors

Hi, dears! Asking why didn’t I post anything today? I had a very lovely walk with my husband followed by a nice dinner, so as you can understand – I just got home and the first thing to do is to share with you another great name from interiors design land  :). I’m sure the lady is known by everyone (perhaps not by everyone – ha!) and her name is Sara Gilbane, whose home was featured in the previous issue of Lonny magazine. Remembered, right?! Ok, you saw her beautiful home and now I’d like to show more of her work, because she really knows how to make a room shine!

Color+Inspiration: Gold+Purple

Hi, my friends! Hope you’re having a good Monday! Sorry for posting so late, my Internet was down all morning. What did you do this weekend? I was searching for inspiration in magazines, blogland and books – just to be ready for a new blogging week, full of design eye-candy and beautiful ideas to share with you! The first idea I loved while reading a magazine was the color combo gold & purple. Seriously, the inspirational picture I saw amazed me – the beauty this combination can create, the royal feeling (gold)+femininity (purple). That’s exactly how I felt! I think gold & purple would work nowhere better than in a bedroom, along with some lighted candles, golden drapes and satin purple sheets. Can you feel how romantic is this?!

Chalkboard Clock – DIY project

A quick post about a totally spontaneous DIY project completed by my husband (and me – I helped!) just a few hours ago. Perhaps you remember when I blogged about chalkboard clocks, well one of those clocks took my heart then and I was always dying to make one! It happened today! My lovely husband bought the clock mechanism, some time ago he brought home a chalkboard – so we had all the “ingredients” :). After cutting and making a hole, our clock was ready! Here’s how it looks:

Here are couple versions of what this clock can look and I don’t even need to choose one – I can have different chalkboard clocks every day! So satisfied with this project!

Thanks to my husband!!!

Now I am really signing off for the weekend! I hope you enjoy yours! xo

Brooklyn Flower School

I just caught myself thinking that I didn’t post anything about flowers so long time! And you know how much I love them! I’m fixing this right now! :). I had through my bookmarks a site and studio at once which is making and teaching floral design in Brooklyn, New York and it’s called Nicolette Camille. I remember I took a look once at their site and felt so jealous and happy the same time! I mean on one hand, I’m really happy there are such talented people who create magical floral arrangements, but on the other hand I was kind of jealous: why can’t I?! Actually, I’m sure I can, with little practice! So, FYI, if you’re in Brooklyn or somewhere near and you want to learn about flowers, visit “Flower School with Sarah and Nicolette“, you won’t regret!

Anne Hepfer Designs

Hi, lovelies! Do you remember Anne Hepfer and her beautiful Georgian home I blogged about some time ago? Well, maybe you also remember I told you that Anne is a very talented and known designer in Canada, providing decorating services in Canada as well as in USA. And her portfolio is full of charm and glamor, but keeping the simplicity in accessorizing. Her clients are residential homes from cities, by the beach and country and it’s very impressing to see how one person can have that wide designer imagination and skills to decorate homes in so many styles!
