Etsy: Tortoise loves donkey

Do you remember when I blogged earlier this week about terrariums? Well Sandy thought a terrarium will be a great birthday present for her husband and she decided to assemble a terrarium by herself which made me very happy (after all she found inspiration on creamylife!). Well, now I thought I can give Sandy a little help and introduce  her and you all to this Etsy shop: Tortoise loves donkey. It’s full of mini-terrariums, plants and different glass containers: vintage & apothecary and everything there is so tiny & cute that I couldn’t help but show them to you. Just take a look and convince yourself:

Alphabet bags

It’s very possible you already saw these Alphabet bags in blogland, bu I just needed to say something myself about them. Here it goes: I LOVE THEM! Seriously, I think they’re the cutest ever, just imagine how it feels to have a purse or a bag with your initial on it! Oh and I adore the summer style bags, colorful and would be a great summer accessory! Something about the owners of the shop: twenty-something Hayley Thwaites & Lucas Lepola, who are also a couple, living in London and running a business since 2008. Their bags are made of 100% cotton and will serve you forever (or at least a lot of years!):

Giveaway update

Hi, lovelies! It’s finally Friday and we’re so so close to the weekend! I wanted to let you know a wee detail about my giveaway. The thing is that Krista announced me she will be on vacation with her family until July 4th, so by that time she’s totally unreachable. I told you that I love you :). Will be back to you shortly. xoxo

Wren’s nursery

Wren is an adorable baby girl of the lovely Holly from Life in the fun lane. Holly did an amazing job by putting together her baby’s room, it’s decorated with two of my favorite colors: white and turquoise in different shades. The room looks very elegant due to the white, but so cheery and fun thanks to turquoise! I loved it and I think it’s a must-see for moms-to-be, the perfect place to get inspired! Oh and by the way, you will see the turquoise in Martha Stewart pom poms which I simply adore and been looking for tutorials to make them myself. If you know some, please share!

Fast and easy makeovers

Style at home had recently an article about makeover ideas which will take only 10 min. The article caught my attention, because these days we don’t have plenty of time or funds to redecorate our homes every second day, so I was curious to know what are those fast (and cheap) makeovers we can implement in our homes. I will share some of them with you and I’m hoping to be helpful and give you some ideas as well!

1. Rearrange. Or change colors and I speak about pillows. It’s so easy to throw on your sofa another cushions, whether they’re brighter or more neutral, believe me they’ll change the atmosphere instantly! You can mix styles and colors, the result will be stunning! And by the way I’m one of those people who think that one can never have too many cushions, you can always use them to change something in your room!

Scrapbooking

If you’re my Twitter friend (if not, become one!), you know that my Internet was down all day today (the reason for the lack of blogposts & tweets), so I had plenty of time to organize my scrapbook, FINALLY! I wanted to do it since forever, but there was always something else coming up. Well, it happened today and I want to share some pictures  (to see much more head to my Flickr stream) of my scrapbook pages I took today. FYI, I put in my scrapbook images cut from magazines I read and it’s all about decor accessories, furniture, styles and colors. I hope you like it!

Bertoia wire chairs

Earlier today I got myself thinking that I’m a chair-addict. Seriously, I’ve blogged about Eames’ chairs (the rocker is my all time favorite), Saarinen’s tulip chair, butterfly chair and I even have a chair wish list! Does all of this make me a chair-addict? I guess so. Another friend of mine is Bertoia wire chair, designed by Harry Bertoia in 1952 for Knoll. Its design it’s all about simplicity and elegance. Considering to have this chair in my yard one day as I think Bertoia wire chair is meant to happily live its life in the backyard, with nice cushions on it or an entire cover. As I was researching about Bertoia, I found out that the wire chair is actually of two types: Side chair and Diamond chair (or lounge seating) and I really dig for both of them, although I’d choose the Diamond chair (the shape of it is killer!). Here’s some inspiration just for you to understand my huge love for these two designer chairs.

Terrariums

Terrariums (or vivariums according to wikipedia) are my new crush. Especially loving terrariums with succulents planted in, they just feel so stylish accessory for a home! It’s not your average plant, it’s a terrarium and you have the freedom to choose the container for building it, its size and shape. Now imagine the multitude of glass containers out there and the amazing impact terrariums can have on your home. And although terrariums are meant to help science, nowadays they can be a gorgeous home decoration, an easy DIY project and a result of your creativity. Here are some inspiring ideas of terrariums, as well as a DIY project I want to share with you. By the way, I’m seriously considering making a terrarium myself and hoping that you’ll be inspired to make one as well!
