All the luck in the world

All the luck in the world is an online shop, where you’ll find vintage, bohemian, handmade and recycled! Quite an impressive combination of words, huh? Jane Schouten has an eye for style which will make you stop breathing and want more and more with every creation of her you’ve seen. Recycling old pieces of furniture, kitchenware or so, Jane gives them another life, a life full of colors, patterns and as she says, she gives them history. Seeing all the items from All the luck in the world made me want to have all of them and oh well, have a place to decorate ONLY with the joyful furniture, vintage and so romantic pieces of decor, sipping tea from a floral teapot…Aw dreams dreams! Want to see some pictures, right? I’ve categorized them as seen on Jane’s site, so please take a look:

Color+Inspiration: Rainbow

You know how big is my obsession with colors, don’t you? My color+inspiration category makes me happy whenever I take a look at it, so today I put together another post related to it. Only that today, not one color is involved, but more of them and let’s just call this color rainbow (yes, the seven colors of it can work great if used all together and will be as if they’re only one color)! Plus, we all seek joyful shades of the color spectrum to complete our summer-y feeling and what other than the rainbow will do this job the best?

Everyday fabulous {July 21st, 2010}

Well hello again, lovelies! Perhaps you’re wondering what is with the title of this blog post? I’ll tell you, but first let me explain myself a bit :). Every day I come across breathtaking pictures of gorgeous interiors, whether created by well-known designers, by fellow bloggers or sweet readers. Very often those pictures make me be in awe and I can’t stop feeling happy to spot the amazing result of somebody’s work. Only that I wasn’t sharing my finds with anybody, so since I’m loving you all so much, from today, everyday I’ll post on creamylife one picture that made my day, one picture which took my breath away and made my heart dance. Let me know if you like the idea and of course, if you’d enjoy to see daily a favorite image of mine :).

Today, I’m smitten by this picture. The bright colors always make me happy. The somehow matching cushions and curtains are no coincidence, but a fantastic detail which makes this room a happy nook where you only miss your stack of magazines to say that “life is good!”. The crispy lamp & walls however make a contrast and are only making the room be more modern and chic. That yellow pouf is not only adorable, but also functional and will work just perfect as a coffee table. Altogether, this room is dreamy and is going to my inspirational files for my future home!

Barcelona chair

Continuing my adventure in exploring designer chairs, today another post dedicated to my chair crush and it’s about Barcelona chair! Inspired by this picture, Barcelona chair quickly became a friend of mine and oh well, it made to my wish list and I’m now thinking where this chair, and these and this will fit in my home? I once said I’m a chair addict and Anne of The city sage told me it’s totally OK, as I’m between lots of other bloggers-talented people who love them as well. Guess what, I don’t mind at all! Back to Barcelona chair – it was designed in 1929 for an International Exposition that took place in Barcelona, Spain. The designer of the chair is Ludwig Mies van der Rohe and I can only thank him for the amazing input to the world of beautiful, never-dying chairs.

Home Tour: Yvonne from SimplYvonne

Hi everyone! Recently I was introduced to a site which is a delight for all of us, design-addicts-loving-real-homes, it’s about Deco my place. Last week I spent couple days (!) browsing through all the pictures that users upload, usually pictures are of their homes. And I came across an extraordinary home, one of the most elegant and modern I’ve seen lately! Long story short, that home belongs to Yvonne, author of Simplyvonne blog, and her husband, they bought their home two years ago and have been renovating-redecorating ever since. But the result is so worth the input! I think I wasn’t breathing while looking at the pictures of Yvonne’s home. Mostly in brown and cream, the living and dining rooms are superb, the bedroom is a light space, the only bright colors seen in the sheets which are Yvonne’s weakness. That home is a perfect proof that life is all about little details and it’s a must-see, people!

Serbian Made: Dokona domaćica

Good morning everyone and welcome to another Monday or a Serbian Monday here on creamylife. As you all recall every Monday is the time when I feature Serbian artists whether it’s about crafters, photographers, designers and so on. Today is no exception, so please welcome with some warm comments Biljana, author of Dokona domaćica blog (which means ‘bored housewife’) and her world of polymer clay creations. Biljana is working with polymer clay creating jewelry (rings, earrings, necklace pendants and other), as well as magnets and little details which make a home to be unique. If you’d like to see all Biljana’s proofs of creativity, check her blog and Flickr, meantime I’ll focus on jewelry (I’m a girl, so I’m allowed) as I think that this is a huge talent to transform a mass of clay into wonderful pieces of jewelry of different colors, sometimes mix of colors. Well, in her latest blog post Biljana describes this process and you can read it here (it’s on Serbian, sorry!). Make sure you visit Biljana later, but now I’ll show you some jewelry I loved the most:

Summer house inspiration

Hi everyone! Are you ready for the weekend? I’m so looking forward to it, I can see a pool in my near future and lots and I mean LOTS of drinks to cool me down. So in honor of summer I thought I can bring up to your attention some inspiration for summer houses, where we can escape for a summer getaway to enjoy this time at its best. A girl can dream, right? How would my summer house be? So glad you asked! First it needs to be light in decorations, with bright colors here and there (just to keep the summer-y look in the home), with no clutter or sophistication! Mostly white color and breezy feeling is a must, freshly picked flowers from the garden is a huge bonus! A relaxed atmosphere which will make me forget about everything in this world is what I’d opt to have in my summer home.

What about you? How is your dream summer home?
