Breakfast in the countryside

I wish my breakfasts would be so attractive and chic, with fresh blooms, coffee, pancakes and orange juice. Oh and the outdoor setting is a must too, with greenery all around and crisp morning air to wish me a great day. Sigh, daydreaming.

Summer entertaining: frozen treats

Who is up for a dose of delicious frozen summer treats? Ice cream, frozen yogurt and popsicles – who wouldn’t like some of that? Imagine all this yumminess in summer-y colors – well, my friends I’m totally sold! How are you entertaining during the summer, what’s your refreshing specialty?

Simple color palette

Sometimes you just need natural colors in your life, right? I’m having some kind of color fevers – one day I’m head over heels for bright palettes, other days I crave simple shades of black, white, gray. I’m guessing it’s a normal thing, people change, as well as their styles and aesthetics. Does this happen to you (because it happens to me quite regularly)?

Balcony love

Having a balcony is the thing I covet more than having a villa in the Hampton area, with a huge terrace/patio. This might sound weird, but it’s true – a pretty small balcony oozes coziness, blissful breakfasts with croissants and freshly brewed coffee. Add a few pots with bright petunias and you’re all set up to fully enjoy life.

Color your home brightly

Happy Saturday, friends! Are you enjoying the weekend? If you’re not yet, I’ll be putting you in the right mode by inviting you to a Swedish home filled with bright colors and fresh blooms. It’s a magic place that feels like a real home – inviting, cheery and well, happy! I wish all the homes would look like that, the world would definitely be a better place!

Summer getaway: the outfits

Let’s talk fashion today, shall we? Since I’m 18 weeks pregnant now, the husband and I decided it’s the perfect time to plan a summer getaway or the so called babymoon (pre-baby vacation). So we were thinking that instead of going to the beach we’ll go urban this time, meaning we’ll choose a few European countries to visit and we’ll just walk and walk, seeing new cultures, new people, new places. I’m so excited and cannot wait (although we still didn’t decide where exactly are we going). So obviously, the first thing I thought about was what outfits I’ll wear while wandering around, but I’m pretty sure my outfits will sum up to two combinations – check them out:

Shorts, a cute top and sandals – what can be more perfect for long walks under the hot summer sun? All spiced up with a neon nail polish and some jewelry that pops out right away – bliss!

I think this outfit is my favorite as I’m loving the look of a maxi dress on a pregnant woman – it just feels so feminine :). The unexpected detail in this outfit is the bright polish and the lipstick – must find the perfect coral lipstick asap!

Well, that’s it – the ultimate summer outfits that rock my world this season are pretty simple yet not boring – I’m a firm believer that less is more :). Plus I’ll need a lot of comfy clothing, hence the lack of heels and I’m totally ok with that!

Do you imagine your vacation without one pair of heels?!

Sunny yellow

Well, guess what – the awful weather we have here (and which seems to last forever!) has me dreaming about sunny yellows that just pop out and make any day look better. So I’m indulging today in pretty pictures where the focus is on yellow (but of course!).

Dip it

It’s everywhere – the trend of dipped stuff and it never looked more appealing than now. Kitchen utensils are my favorite part – a fresh twist to boring kitchen items (sounds good to me!). What do you think?

Happy Monday :)

Lovely prints from ConiLab

I love when I’m contacted by readers who are also designers/artists and I get to be introduced to their work. Blogland is huge and it’s impossible to know everyone’s work (and what are the odds to just stumble upon talented personalities?). So I’m grateful when I receive sweet emails which are informative all at once. Case in point, I’d like to introduce you to Coni Della Vedova, graphic designers behind ConiLab, based in Barcelona, Spain. She designs adorable posters using 100% handmade serigraphy (aka screen printing) and I fell in love with them – even considering buying some for our baby‘s nursery :)

Tribal chic

We see more and more of tribal in the blogosphere these days, so I thought I’d add my two cents – I’m hooked. I’m in love with the colors, patterns and I sure like how tribal is used in fashion – gorgeousness all around. But let’s not forget about tribal chicness as seen in interior design – it definitely adds a fresh twist to a space! Whether it’s a cushion, bedspread or wall art – your most exotic dreams become reality in an instant and who doesn’t love that?
