Gold is such a timeless detail and it fascinates me how big of a change gold accents can add to a room, outfit, table or to anything else. I’m loving golden touches lately and I especially enjoy seeing them in home decor in form of chairs, shelves, candlesticks etc. Of course it’s adorable to see golden macaroons, but still nothing beats a stunning golden chandelier in a relaxing bedroom.A girl can dream :)

Color coordinated

Lately I’m feeling so attracted by simple color schemes which obviously lead up to pretty color coordinated rooms. I enjoy seeing how people use one color (or a combo) throughout an entire room as it adds such a delicate touch and the room feels very neat and chic. Depending on which color you’re going with the room can become feminine, cozy or plain modern. Whatever the result is it’s clear that a color coordinated room looks also very organized and all this together is a winning combination :). Here are a few examples:

Colorful kitchen cabinets

Perhaps colorful kitchen cabinets aren’t my cup of tea at the moment (remember when I was saying how my aesthetics has a tendency to change over time? well, let’s say I’m more for a sleek and modern design now). Nonetheless, I can’t help but love the colorful kitchen cabinets from this post, they’re bringing so much joy into any space and being that a kitchen is an area where we spend a lot of time in pops of green, blue, yellow or red sound pretty much perfection! There is one ‘but’ – although I like this idea I’m wondering how does one feel when actually having colorful kitchen cabinets, doesn’t it feel too much?

Winter wedding

Don’t know how about where you are, around here winter is still in full force, with snow and freezing temperatures (I can’t deal with it anymore!). It’s annoying that in March we have this weather and I thought what better way to try seeing the beauty of winter (as hard as it can seem) than by sharing a gorgeous winter wedding shot in Serbia, on Kopaonik (a mountain here). The details and colors are stunning, my jaw literally dropped after seeing the amazing cake, the heart shaped macaroons, the wintery bouquet and how happy the newlyweds were despite the coldness (you can see it through the pictures, brrr!).

I hope you could get an idea or two for your own (or someone else’s) wedding, these pictures are definitely worth bookmarking :)

Color+inspiration: Burgundy

Burgundy was all over fashion this past fall and if you’re following the trends you have at least one piece in burgundy. And it got me thinking how does this color embracing interior design – to my surprise burgundy isn’t very popular in home decor, but I can’t say I don’t understand why, after all this is a bold hue requiring attention when creating color palettes as not every color pairs nicely with burgundy, don’t you think so? Personally I doubt I would paint my bedroom in burgundy as I would probably fear the darkness the room will receive, however accent pieces look pretty good adding a touch of elegance (a result close to what plum gives to a space – royal and sophisticated).

What’s your opinion on burgundy?

As long as I remember myself I wasn’t a big fan of burgundy, but now I have to say I’m loving it in fashion, it’s such a rich and gorgeous color!

Calming nursery

I came across this nursery some time ago and I immediately knew it’s going to my bookmarks! It’s no surprise I love to stare at pretty nurseries, but this one felt so very soothing and appealing that I thought to myself how amazing it would be if I get to have such calming space! All white and creamy this room is sure to teach a little one serenity. Oh, and the room has stripes – who doesn’t love them, right?

Hi all! Quick post about one thing I look forward to the most – warm weather, spring breeze and the outdoor fun!!! Can you relate? The weather now is pretty unpredictable – sun in the morning, rain afternoon etc. which is quite annoying. How is the weather treating you?

So now I’m crossing my fingers that soon spring will settle in and we’ll have plenty of picnics, birds chirping and we’ll forget about the dreary days we had more than enough this winter. Here’s some inspiration for an outdoor soiree that is simply gorgeous, with golden accents yet a very neutral design.

Happy friday, friends! After another episode of being MIA I’m here to wish you a happy weekend. I must admit that having a baby is more exhausting than I thought when I said I’ll be posting every day. My baby needs my attention 24/7 and there’s nothing I can do to change it (not that I want to, but let’s face it – every now and then we all need some time for ourselves, whether it’s for updating a blog, having a hot bath or just drinking coffee). Well, I get this chance very rare and when I do I’m usually too tired to even look at my laptop not to mention putting together a post. Just for the record I’m now writing this from my iPhone, that’s the solution I found, let’s hope it lasts :). If you’re wondering how are we, here’s a brief recap of what my days are – my baby is 4 months old today, he’s smiling/crying/pooping/nursing and that is pretty much it, but it’s ok, it still feels like the time flies too fast.
