Continuing my adventure in exploring designer chairs, today another post dedicated to my chair crush and it’s about Barcelona chair! Inspired by this picture, Barcelona chair quickly became a friend of mine and oh well, it made to my wish list and I’m now thinking where this chair, and these and this will fit in my home? I once said I’m a chair addict and Anne of The city sage told me it’s totally OK, as I’m between lots of other bloggers-talented people who love them as well. Guess what, I don’t mind at all! Back to Barcelona chair – it was designed in 1929 for an International Exposition that took place in Barcelona, Spain. The designer of the chair is Ludwig Mies van der Rohe and I can only thank him for the amazing input to the world of beautiful, never-dying chairs.

I am a chair lover myself and the Arne Jacobsen egg chair and the Barcelona chair and ottoman are on my wishlist. Lovely pictures too!
I’ve seen these chairs before but, I didn’t know what they were called. I’m in love with them as well!
I love the photos. I am a huge fan of oversized chairs because I like to sit indian style all the time!
Thanks for visiting my blog today! I am a chair-aholic too…and I have also loved the sleek and luxurious look of the Barcelona chair. Great post!
Wow, I’ve never seen a chair like that! Looks very cool! xoxo
Love these chairs too! I had no idea what they were called though, another useless fact to make my non-decor friends laugh, haha. Love it!
I had no idea this was called a Barcelona chair. I really do like it — especially when it’s incorporated into less modern, more classic rooms. That’s definitely my style.
So happy you guys liked this post! And that it was also useful for those who didn’t know how is this chair called, now you do :)
