There has been a lot of buzz around animal prints and their use in homes lately. Nowadays cow and zebra hide rugs are a must in a modern, eclectic home. However, I’m pretty confused about how do I feel about this trend. I mean a faux cowhide rug is totally fine, but what about decorating with faux snakeskin? Stunning or hideous? I heard different opinions about it, but I leave it to you to decide is faux snakeskin in a home yay or nay? I found some examples to share with you and am anxiously waiting for your opinions in the comments below.
Mirror frames, trays, book covers – snakeskin is quite popular! Just as I said, I’m not feeling very attracted by it, maybe I’d go with subtle touches of snakeskin (like a tray), but in bigger amounts it’s nay for me.

I like it a lot on the smaller accessories … it adds some playfulness that I’m always game for. I wouldn’t put into a larger piece as I think I would tire of it more quickly than a “classic” finish … that’s my two cents ;-)
Ever since I saw that first picture, I have been dreaming about faux snakeskin! I want that exact bathroom replicated in my house!
