Daniella Witte – drama in black & white

I was recently introduced to an amazing Swedish interior photographer Daniella Witte and had to share my find with you – Daniella’s photography which is pure drama feels like fresh air amidst my latest posts which are all about colors :). You’ll see mainly black and white in Daniella Witte’s photography, but each photo has that special detail that makes everything look inviting and well, less dramatic.

OYOY Living design + something personal

Have you heard of the new guy (read store) in town called OYOY? It’s another Danish gorgeous place packed with lovely things for your home, all with a Scandinavian touch and who doesn’t love a good dose of Scandi design in his home (clearly not me!). OYOY launched just recently, but it already got lots of praise in blogland so I thought I just might join the fan club and express how in love I am with their stuff :). From geometric to confetti pattern to pretty colors – OYOY is a must-see! I highlighted some fave items that are landing right on my wish list :).What on your wishlist?

P.S. On a more personal note, today is my 3rd wedding anniversary and I just wanted to once again say out loud how much I love my husband and how happy I am to be his wife! I can’t wait for our baby to be born in 6 weeks (updates on my belly on my Instagram, if you’d like to see :D), so we can complete our family and enjoy ourselves to the fullest! Love you, T!

Dreamy light-filled cottage

It’s been a while since I saw a home this dreamy, filled with so much light, natural beauty and warm accessories! It’s no joke, this cottage might be my favorite home tour by far and the words “I would move there right away” do no justice to how amazed I really am by the inviting look of each room. The 19th century house is meant to look modern, however it still looks to me very vintage and its rustic feel adds even more charm to the entire thing. I’m in love and have no more to add.

Concrete & color

If you ask me, I will say that concrete walls combined with a fun color is the most unexpected way to decorate a space. I mean we all think of cold gray when speaking about concrete and it’s absolutely justified, so the fact of adding a bright shade to spice things up sounds like an easy, but ‘life-changing’ step in order to break the dullness of a room that has concrete walls, don’t you think? Whether you choose a warm pastel color to soften the look or a screaming bold one to put the focus on it, the result is anyway sure to be phenomenal!

Vintage kitchen

…with a touch of soft mint! I’m totally obsessed with the cabinet which is as vintage and as gorgeous as you can imagine! Add a few vintage stools and you get the perfect kitchen which is both inviting and cool. Open shelving, industrial old lighting – the moment when a picture is worth a thousand words :)

I’m loving the overall look of this kitchen – right up my alley!

Lavender field wedding {the details}

Although I expressed my obsession with lavender many times, I’ll dare to do it again – just because I think this post might be a great inspiration for all of you brides-to-be (or simply if you’d like to set up a romantic table for two). Hence the focus on the details of the tabletop. Needless to mention the whole wedding is gorgeous, but the lavender field had me at that purple divine color and I couldn’t resist sharing the fairy tale with you.

Ready for fall

If you know me, you also know I’m in love with warm weather and summer days and I would gladly trade winter for another summer season :)! But we had so high temps this year that I can’t help myself but crave fall this season when speaking about fashion. I can’t wait to wear oversized sweaters, mustard color and nude coats – just the thought of it makes me feel so comfy right now! I’m not a fashion victim and it’s a known fact that coziness is the main factor to me when buying clothing, but hey – cozy outfits can be fashionable and here’s the proof:

Lazy weekend

Hi all! It’s Saturday and I couldn’t be more thrilled as I’m very tired lately and any spare moment of laziness sounds blissful to me :). Normally I’m always up to something, so this state of tiredness caused by the pregnancy falls hard on me – both mentally and physically. I’m having troubles accepting the fact that if I’m unable to run errands as I did before – it’s ok (and I should stop blaming myself for wanting to rest as much as possible). It’s a problem deep in my mind, so I have to work on that :). I’m starting today, with this post of a lazy weekend of doing nothing – just sleeping, going for long walks and eating yummy meals. Hope you have a good one :)

Layered rugs – love it or hate it?

Yesterday while browsing some pins from around the world I came across a picture that had my attention for a few good minutes. Unfortunately I haven’t saved it, but believe me when I say it was a swoon-worthy living room and what caught my eye were the layered rugs on the floor. I loved it, because those mismatched rugs were such a perfect and unexpected detail to the room, adding some color, a patterned twist to the entire space making it feel warmer and cozier. At the same time I felt that as pretty as the look of patterned rugs might be, it’s also a bold move (at least it would be for me), so I thought I can ask you – do you love or hate the look of layered rugs?
