Exciting Announcement!!!

Hello, friends! How have you been? It’s Thursday and I’m so happy to be so close to the weekend! This week has been hectic over here, I’ve been working on a new project the idea of which came to my mind long time ago, I was so excited about it that I wanted to accomplish it as soon as possible!

So ladies and gents, please meet my new ‘baby’:

Yay, so excited! I founded The Sartorialist for Belgrade, sort of :). It’s unbelievable how many people are lusting after a street style site here yet nobody seems to have time to just do it. Well, I’m the one – Belgrade street style is on its way! I was waiting for a new camera to start this site and since my awesome husband bought it for me a few days ago, we immediately started working on the site (which will be up very soon!), business cards are ready to be printed and I’m already on the hunt for stylish people on the street to shoot them :).

I must say a huge ‘thank you’ to my husband for his immense support and help, I wouldn’t be able to do this without him! I love you, my darling!

While the site is still under construction, feel free to like us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter, for even more eye-candy, fresh ideas and outfits!

Don’t be worried, friends, creamylife will still be updated every day, so no changes here :)

Old Belgrade

Hello, friends! Today is Friday and let me congratulate everybody with this, we made it! And for today’s post I’ve prepared some pictures which are very close to my heart for many reasons (some of them unknown). If you recall my yesterday’s post, you also remember that I adore retro style, old looking pictures and that overall atmosphere which was dominating in the 20’s, 30’s, but also 50’s and 60’s. So today I’d like to share with you some pictures of the old Belgrade, the city where I live now (you all saw how does it look now in this post) and I cannot begin to describe the excitement I feel to look at these images, to see how did the city look in the 20’s – mid 30’s. I thought this would be a perfect Friday post –  so inspiring, relaxing and heart-warming :). Enjoy!

P.S. Please pay attention at the architecture, isn’t it fabulous? And by the way, these days we still have these buildings and the architecture always impressed me!

Belgrade Guide

{Hi everyone! Will start the blogging day on creamylife with an exciting post, but not just a post – it’s a city guide and it’s all about Belgrade!!! I’ve been wanting to write it since forever and over the past weekend I finally put it together! I hope it will help you if you come to Belgrade! xoxo}

Whenever people think of Belgrade, the capital of an European country – Serbia, the first thing that comes to their mind is the NATO bombardment that occurred in 1999 and which damaged this city like never before. The same people remember immediately about Kosovo and they totally ignore the bright side of this place. I’m a tourist in Belgrade, I moved here less than one year ago and to be straight, before coming here I had a vague knowledge about Serbia, I knew things like the communist regime and Slobodan Milosevic. Quite muddy, huh? Fast forward to March 2009, when I visited Belgrade for the first time. That was the moment when I felt what’s this city about,  its kind, friendly and very generous people,  its hospitality and beauty, but what’s more important its culture, a rich one which left marks visible even nowadays. So through this guide I’ll try to make a sketch of Belgrade for you all by telling you about its cultural spots, shops, restaurants and everything what you can possibly find here.

Being a tourist: part 1

So…Some time ago I saw on Anna’s blog, Door sixteen, her post Let’s pretend we’re tourists, made up of pictures she was taking while walking through New York streets, pretending she’s, well, a tourist :). Today, inspired by the lovely Anna I decided to do the same – be a tourist! And it wasn’t that hard, after all I moved to Belgrade nine months ago and there are moments when I do feel a real tourist! So, I took my camera and to downtown I went! Please join me in my trip all the way to Europe, to a beautiful country called Serbia and its capital, Belgrade!

Let it snow, Let it snow, Let it snow…

Hey everyone! I was just thinking couple days ago, it’s already middle of December and I still didn’t see snow…What is happening with our world?! Where are those huge snow hills? Where is the winter that we were having when we were kids?! For these questions I didn’t find answers, but I finally saw snow today!!! It was snowing all day long, snowflakes everywhere! I love this! Though I need to confess I don’t really like when it’s cold outside, snowflakes are making me melt and I don’t feel anymore that it’s cold, I just see the magic of the winter, the charming spirit of Christmas and New Year and I become happy at once!!!

So, actually snowflakes are not just small pieces of ice that we can see, they’re much more, each of them has its own world, it’s own texture and shape. And may be they seem so tiny, but they’re beautiful, because they’re all different and now I’ll prove this to you!

These are snowflakes if checked closely, with macro photography. Never thought they can be so beautiful!!!

And these are pictures which my husband took today, isn’t this gorgeous?!

And now, just to remind you how enchanted is the time when it’s snowing, I suggest you to check this out!
