Rich emerald

Loving emerald, yet again! I can’t resist the temptation (nor I want to) to share with you some ’emerald’ finds of mine that I’m sure will inspire you. And by the way, I really think emerald is a stunning alternative to the traditional brown-golden-beige fall palette, along with teal (that I wrote about last week), but of course!

The two images below feel like the same room shot from different corners, no? The saturated emerald of the curtains are the perfect match for the armchair – to me this is one room! What do you think?

Oh, Monday…

Hello to all my dearest creamylifers! How was your weekend? Is it fall where you are (and I mean for real)? Here we have pretty warm weather, sunny yet just perfect for wearing light sweaters and scarves, so what can I say – I’m totally loving it and wish it lasts for a very long while! Are you back to sweaters just yet or you can’t let go of summer? :)

No matter how your weather is, I hope you’re doing great, sweets! Here’s to a wonderful week! Happy Monday!

How gorgeous is this table setting (below). I’m loving the pretty mugs with numbers, they can be used in so many ways!

Monday with a dash of lavender

I’ve been always in love with lavender, it’s such a pretty and feminine flower (the same applies to the color, right?). It’s simple enough to be used in a day to day arrangement yet it’s sophisticated and elegant (perhaps because of its simplicity?). As for the color, I’ve said it many times, it’s my mother’s favourite color so how could I not love it? Other than this, lavender is a shade you can go no wrong with if you want to get a romantic, French inspired space. What can I say, I’m a girly girl :)

The weekend

Make it wonderful, sweets, because there’s a new week right around the corner (which I won’t be speaking more about), so make sure you take full advantage of the (perfect) weather, some you-time and a book, perhaps. Hugs to all!

DIY: photo-wreath

I fell in love with the idea of making a photo wreath, such an easy DIY yet so heart-warming, a piece that will remind you of important people and events in your life, so I promise you’ll cherish it for a very long while. It’s impressive how often we’re reminded that life it’s all about small things.

Ampersand trend

Ampersand sign – I bet you’ve seen it everywhere the past months (or years?). Well, I’m no exception, I fell in love with its look right away. However, I do have a favourite design and although I love them all, that particular ampersand is on the top of my faves. The huge variety of ampersands makes it difficult to decide on one piece that we would bring into our home: giant sized or tiny ones? Wooden or metal? Colourful or shabby chic? Oh, dilemmas. What do you like the most?

In the desert {with Rue Magazine}

Would be an understatement if I say that I adore the 4th issue of Rue magazine, it’s brilliant! Go check it yourself if you don’t believe me. While perusing the latest issue yesterday, among billions of posts and images I loved, there was an editorial that I just couldn’t stop looking at – it’s the one from the desert. Let me say that I wowed when I saw the cover (picture from this editorial), it was a piece I’ve never seen in any other online magazine nor printed one and as I heard in twitter land there are many tweeps saying it was a risk to have a cover like that – a ‘risk worth taking’, that is.

Trunks and suitcases

…not only they are a beautiful, stunning detail in a room, trunks and suitcases also might be of much help if used as side tables in bedroom or coffee table in living room. Not to mention the knocking off effect if looking at them as pieces of decor. You won’t be surprised if I say that I absolutely adore when the above mentioned trunks and suitcases are vintage looking, retro styled and showing off  the beauty of the time which left marks making them utterly charming and timeless. I’d give up all those modern, expensive tables for a priceless Louis Vuitton vintage suitcase that will inspire me every day, brightening up my life!

Finally…found what’s mine

white flowersDon’t worry, I didn’t actually loose anything, this is just a way of saying. I found out what inspires me the most and don’t be surprised if soon you start noticing a lot of posts about home interior and decor. How this came to me? Seems like fell from the sky! I always liked this niche, but never thought it attracts me that much. Accidentally, last couple days, I get to see on the Internet lots of blogs about interior design, DIY articles and I got trapped into this and it’s logical, I got married, moved to a new apartment and did interior design without knowing :).

It’s never too late to develop yourself! Actually, that’s exactly what I’m gonna do now…Have a great day everybody!
