Cozy ranch house

I realize I’m becoming quite predictable already, but I can;t help myself – cozy and modern homes are my faves at the moment! Case in point, this ranch home that just oozes warmth and chicness! The home is filled with romantic, shabby chic accessories yet keeping an industrial and contemporary feel – this, my friends, needs some serious decorating talent and some boldness (jade/teal bedroom? totally sold!). Here are some pics:

Pallets

It’s not common (and often) that we see pallets in interiors which is unclear to me because their look is so versatile and cool! I love about pallets the fact that they work so good in rustic settings as well as industrial, traditional or any other – a pallet just adds an unexpected touch to a room, in a good way – whether by giving an inviting rustic look or softening the rough industrial-ness of a space. While browsing for inspiration, I came across lots of pallet beds, but I did manage to find coffee tables, headboards and other stuff, which proves my idea – pallets can be used everywhere!

Modern & on a budget

Hi everyone!!! How are you, guys? I hope you’re doing well and the work week isn’t too tough on you :). Yes, I disappeared and yes – I do dare to hope you’ll understand my reasons (14 days until my due date, my level of anxiety sky-high, making it hard to focus on anything!). I miss blogging though, so I promise to pull myself together and spend more time sharing inspiration with you, guys!

So today I’m here with a beautiful modern home decorated on a budget, because we know that when it’s about cost-effective decorating IKEA is the perfect source. And that’s what the home owner did, with some help from friends, plenty of DIYs, Tara Ballantyne managed to design a cozy, inviting home without splurging too much.

Shades of blue

Hello, friends! Yet again I disappeared and I have no excuse. Well, maybe only the fact that I’m 36 weeks pregnant. Anyway, I hope you can understand me :).

Now that the summer is over, we’re left with the color palettes this amazingly refreshing seasons brings us. Like for example the breezy blues that make everything look airy, light and so easy-going. That’s exactly how this home is and I would move in in 2.5 seconds :)

Chic photo display

Just as I was saying in this post, DIY has taken over me and I LOVE checking different projects that might add that personal touch to a home, you know what I mean? Let’s say I’m now going to share with you a driftwood photo display DIY that not only you can’t buy anywhere, but also if found for purchasing won’t feel as home-y as it feels when built with your own hands. And that’s why DIY is so special (now if only I had more time to do all the things I’m pinning). Here’s the final result and if you feel like interested in making it, check here the instructions.

Tiled kitchen backsplash

Tiles in the kitchen are functional and we all know that, but did you think that those same tiles can be fun adding a quirky twist to the kitchen? The idea of incorporating fun with practical can’t sound any better especially when you have such a huge choice with kitchen tiles. But when I say kitchen tiles I actually mean the backsplash part which can add that perfect punch of color and pattern to your kitchen, adding the unexpected to the old, boring backsplash. I’m loving the idea of a light colored kitchen (say white, mint, light blue) and a bold, strikingly bright backsplash? Sounds awesome to me :)

Geometrical wall // bedroom

Happy Monday! You guys, I came across the most stunning bedroom ever! And the funny thing is that the space is as simple as it can be yet attractive and so cozy. The bedroom is white, with black accent details (like a stunning geometrical pattern on a wall) and the cutest nursery corner ever! Pure Scandinavian gem and I couldn’t help but share it with you. But yes, the striking part was the pattern on the wall that can be an easy DIY project with a huge impact on a room (I think I like it even more than regular wall art).

OYOY Living design + something personal

Have you heard of the new guy (read store) in town called OYOY? It’s another Danish gorgeous place packed with lovely things for your home, all with a Scandinavian touch and who doesn’t love a good dose of Scandi design in his home (clearly not me!). OYOY launched just recently, but it already got lots of praise in blogland so I thought I just might join the fan club and express how in love I am with their stuff :). From geometric to confetti pattern to pretty colors – OYOY is a must-see! I highlighted some fave items that are landing right on my wish list :).What on your wishlist?

P.S. On a more personal note, today is my 3rd wedding anniversary and I just wanted to once again say out loud how much I love my husband and how happy I am to be his wife! I can’t wait for our baby to be born in 6 weeks (updates on my belly on my Instagram, if you’d like to see :D), so we can complete our family and enjoy ourselves to the fullest! Love you, T!
