Serbian Made: Dokona domaćica

Good morning everyone and welcome to another Monday or a Serbian Monday here on creamylife. As you all recall every Monday is the time when I feature Serbian artists whether it’s about crafters, photographers, designers and so on. Today is no exception, so please welcome with some warm comments Biljana, author of Dokona domaćica blog (which means ‘bored housewife’) and her world of polymer clay creations. Biljana is working with polymer clay creating jewelry (rings, earrings, necklace pendants and other), as well as magnets and little details which make a home to be unique. If you’d like to see all Biljana’s proofs of creativity, check her blog and Flickr, meantime I’ll focus on jewelry (I’m a girl, so I’m allowed) as I think that this is a huge talent to transform a mass of clay into wonderful pieces of jewelry of different colors, sometimes mix of colors. Well, in her latest blog post Biljana describes this process and you can read it here (it’s on Serbian, sorry!). Make sure you visit Biljana later, but now I’ll show you some jewelry I loved the most:

Serbian Made: Cut, Nela, cut

Hello, lovelies and happy Monday! Although when looking through the window I wouldn’t say it’s very happy, it’s raining, cold and feels like fall! And it’s been like this last two days! On the bright side of this day, it’s Serbian Monday today, which already became a tradition. My today’s favorite find is a wonderful lady who has amazing cutting skills and if I wouldn’t know she did it herself, I’d never believe this is possible. So people, please meet Nela from Cut, Nela, cut and that’s what she says: ” I am a home-staying mom of  an 8 years-old boy and a freelance translator for Spanish language, I am also passionate crafter. While ago I discovered paper cutting and I believe that I found my magical cure for everyday stress. It’s a tranquilizer  that brings me back to life and fulfills my need to express myself.”. I really hope you’ll like what I found for you today, because seriously, Nela’s work is very impressing and new to me, which makes me admire her even more! But besides paper cutting, Nela is doing crochet and you should see those sweet things she’s creating, they’re gorgeous! Thank you, Nela, for sharing your work with us!

P.S. Please visit her blog and Flickr for more eye-candy!

Serbian Made: Little Glory

Good morning, lovelies! How was your weekend? Mine was pretty good, with Belgrade shopping night on Friday (which I call already weekend) and a sweet friend’s birthday party yesterday.  Now I’m excited about a new week and things to share you, my dears! Today is Monday and as my husband called it – it’s Serbian Monday (sounds good) and it means I will feature one more Serbian person who’s making handmade things. This time is about a very talented and sweet lady making jewelry, named Little Glory (nickname, real name – Slavica)! Prepare yourself for a dose of amazing stuff, I mean it! Hew jewelry is handmade from polymer clay, accessorized with decorative wires and stones. Wondering what is she making? Earrings, rings, pendants, necklaces, bracelets and brooches – people, she is amazingly artful and skilled! We, girls, know what is jewelry for us, so imagine myself choosing pictures of Slavica’s work for my article – I was dying to have *every.single.piece* – I totally fell in love and I invite you now to see the beauty (a small part of it) made by Little Glory!
