Black & white home office

My love affair with black and white is a known issue for everyone, so nothing too shocking in this post. I mean not shocking as you could guess I’ll be dying over this post’s chicness. Confession: I have never seen such a fabulous home office designed around black and white. Seriously, it’s to die for – Nina from Stylizimo is my new idol (her home office we’re speaking about). As every black and white space, this home office is simple yet not simplistic, it’s very inspiring and laid back, it’s comfy and serene – could not ask for more, don’t you agree?

It’s finally Friday, friends! But for me it’s more than that – it’s also Christmas eve today and Christmas celebration tomorrow. Yes, might look to you we’re like living on another Planet, but that’s how it is – our Christmas is in January (cool kids like me celebrate it on December 25th and January 7th, so all is well).

How did your 2012 start off? Have you put your resolutions on paper yet? I haven’t, but I have only two or three, so there’s not much need for me to do it.

On another note, the two images below kept popping out all day today so I just couldn’t ignore how refreshing the color palette is: navy, white and green – totally gorgeous, feels like a breath of fresh air.

Serene whites

Ever wondered why is white both calming, warm-ish and sterile at the same time? I know it’s an unimaginable combo, but I often feel exactly this when I see how this color is used in interiors. Sometimes it can be very soothing while other times so minimalist and look-but-don’t-touch. The home tour below features a white (beige-y) which is very warm, serene and simple perfection for a home. Happy Monday to all! Today I have a special post for you, sort of. It’s about my favourite color combination at the moment: black, white and golden. These three shades are so elegant individually taken, so the effect they have when combined is like a bomb, a stylish one to be more precise. All in all, a bit of a glamorous and sophisticated trio, but nonetheless it provides us with a very cozy feeling, which is at the same time not too simplistic. Are you in for it?

Not your average dresser

I saw this patterned dresser in a magazine and boy, I had to share it with you! Its oriental look was hard to be ignored and its timeless colour palette was too elegant to be passed away. All in all, not your average (boring, plain coloured – you name it) dresser. Such a sophisticated piece would a fabulous addition to a modern, fancy space bringing a fresh twist into the room.

Wooden dream in Southern Spain

Hello, everyone! It’s Monday and it’s 1st of November, which means a new start of the week AND of the month! Can you believe it’s already November? So, the traditional Serbian Monday is off today (the article about another Serbian artist is postponed until next week due to a few complications), so I have for you today a delightful home tour. You saw that lately I’ve been very enamored with the warmth of a wooden home, paired with crispy white walls and bright popping details everywhere, so this home in Southern Spain is my dream home, people! The very first second I saw it, it took my breath away and just made my heart skip a beat! The home brings warmth, a home-y atmosphere and the perfect feeling for a happy life! The thrifted vintage accessories add a bohemian touch, to only increase the level of charm! Here are some pictures:

A home after my own heart, with gorgeous texture, calming colors and an overall clean and pretty look. Some of you will say that this would be the perfect beach house and you’re right, but as for me, I wouldn’t mind permanently living here, to get inspired everyday by the color palette and enjoy the pure serenity which comes floating!

Wren’s nursery

Wren is an adorable baby girl of the lovely Holly from Life in the fun lane. Holly did an amazing job by putting together her baby’s room, it’s decorated with two of my favorite colors: white and turquoise in different shades. The room looks very elegant due to the white, but so cheery and fun thanks to turquoise! I loved it and I think it’s a must-see for moms-to-be, the perfect place to get inspired! Oh and by the way, you will see the turquoise in Martha Stewart pom poms which I simply adore and been looking for tutorials to make them myself. If you know some, please share!

White has been always a color in trend, classical, never dying. And it will always be like this, at least in 2010 more and more designers choose white to be the main and maybe the only color of the room. I said room because it can be bedroom, dining room, restroom or bathroom – white everywhere! Take a look at the pictures below and leave your comments about white :).

This color gives to the room such a bright and positive atmosphere, doesn’t it? Now I want to paint all our apartment in white! This is too cool! I think ‘white’ works as well with people, so wear white and be positive!
