Green & yellow feels spring-y, fresh and alive, so I was very excited to see these bookcases from IKEA (hello, affordable goodness!). Not only they’re cheery, they’re also quite functional – just like a bookcase should be. Now tell me, are you a fan of IKEA or not? And what do you think about green and yellow colors?

I know the other day I was craving pastel colored homes, but today I’m back again at happy yellows, bright pinks and turquoise – I’m the person who can never have too much of this. Happy Tuesday, sweets! I apologize for being absent yesterday, things were crazy busy and it looked like the day flew by without me noticing it! Today, since outside is so cloudy and gray, I prepared a perfect post and I mean a post to cheer you up! We all love stripes (proven many times!) and yellow, so here’s an idea of how to cheer up your kitchen or any other room using the two details: with a striped rug and some pretty daffodils you’re sure to transform a room into a sunny place!
I hope I didn’t whine too much about how much I want sun and warm weather, did I? Good, then one more post will not hurt either. Seriously I cannot wait anymore! A post dedicated to a shade of yellow which is fuzzy, soft, dreamy and truly feels like sun – it’s a mellow yellow inspired post! Not too smart, not too boring, just the perfect dose of pretty pictures that I’m sure you’ll all love (haven’t met ONE person in my life who doesn’t like yellow, have you?).
Well hello, friends! How’s the weather where you are? Here is far from what I was expecting (or want it to be): rain, snow, very cold and everything that complements such a weather. That’s why I want only one thing right now – SUN! I’m very exhausted of such a “playful” winter, I’m more than sure we had enough of it this year. Hey everyone! I must admit that I’ve been having my eyes on the beautiful color combination yellow & gray for quite a long time and still, never put together a color inspiration post featuring this combo. Small intro: Anna of In honor of design asked our opinion about a new header for her blog (we needed to choose one of three designs), the first design was created with yellow & gray colors and I was smitten by the simplicity and elegance of it! The muted shades of both these colors are such a well balanced mix, perfectly completing each other and creating the feeling of aesthetic charm and sense of style. Of course I voted for the first design Anna had to choose from, but I couldn’t stop thinking about this combination. So yesterday I browsed all the possible sites on the Internet and I found some gorgeous rooms (and not only) decorated with yellow & gray:

Today, I’m writing again about colors that inspire me and guess what, today my favorite is yellow! Why? Aw, because it reminds me a lot about sunny weather and warm days and I miss this so much! Outside it’s snowing with huge snowflakes (and I really mean it, the snowflakes are like some golf balls!) and now more than ever I’m dreaming about sun, beach and cozy summer dresses :).

Yellow and Grey – no, no, these are not any tendencies of 2010 or favorite colors! This is just a funny coincidence which happened with me and my husband yesterday. I’ve heard that readers like to see personal photos, to see who is behind the blog, so here I am! The picture below was taken yesterday in the morning, when me and my husband figured out that we are wearing the same colors, little other ways! This was funny and of course, we couldn’t not to take a picture!
This picture got a lot of “likes” and comments on Facebook, one more reason to blog about it!
