Color report: Tangerine Tango

You probably all heard that Pantone named the color of 2012 Tangerine Tango. Just like its last year’s sister – honeysuckle – tangerine is a rich, bright hue which leaves a big impact on a room if used right. Accessories, a wall, a rug or a sofa will bring a cheery vibe into your home, tangerine will simply make your space warmer, happier, more modern and home-y. Of course, tangerine will be equally often used in fashion industry (I think the trend was clearly seen already in 2011, right?). Lipstick, nail polish, silky dresses – all tangerine colored will definitely make for a bright year!

Mustard

Mustard is having its comeback this season and I couldn’t be more thrilled. I blogged about this color last year and my obsession with it didn’t fade remaining one of the most fall-friendly color crushes. The richness and heaviness of mustard make it a gorgeous alternative to traditional fall colors, a perfect compromise between yellow and brown and a warm stylish hue on its own. Mustard for him, for her and their home – what’s not to love?

Weekend inspiration

TGIF! Time to call it a week (almost), to put our feet up and relax. The thought brings a huge smile on my face, so ‘yay’ for weekends! Today I’m inspired by this fashionable arrangement, which is perfection in my opinion, especially for this fall season as I’m planning on hitting it hard with classic and elegant outfits along with glamorous lady-like ones (I’m especially enamored with the color of the pants – totally glam!). What are your go-to clothing pieces/colors this fall?

See you next week! Enjoy the weekend :)

Pick a color for this fall? Check!

I’ve finally chosen a main color for this fall season! I never do that normally, but this year it just came onto me and I couldn’t help, but melt and accept the idea! You won’t be surprised to hear what is that color as I blogged a few times about it (like here, here and here) – teal/peacock blue! I’m fascinated with this rich and deep hue, it’s so sophisticated and glamorous! I love it both in interiors and fashion, so I guess my choice couldn’t be more perfect! I already bought a few scarves and pieces of jewellery and I won’t stop here – it’s been way too long since I had some popping colors in my life.

What is your color for this fall season? Are you sticking to the traditional brown or going with more daring shades?

Fashion to interior: Crocheted bliss

The similarity was too obvious to be ignored, so I had to share my finds. Granny chic crocheted blanket found its place in fashion industry in the form of a cozy dress, warm and so much fun! I’ve seen the blanket itself long time ago, so a this-and-that moment hit me the second I saw the dress, looks like the crocheted bliss works in fashion just as good as it does in decorating :)

Color+Inspiration: Magenta

Ok, this must be a color+inspiration week. Not sure what has gotten onto me, but today I’m blown away by another color – magenta! I know some people call it fuchsia, others even pink, but I’m all for calling it this sophisticated name (it’s also cool and stylish, right?). Here’s my color+inspiration post for this sunny and hot Friday! Enjoy!

Spring color blocks

This post will make you happy, guaranteed. I was looking and looking around for the past few weeks and I finally realized that this Spring bold, bright hues will be on the top of everything. Whether we speak about fashion or interior design, expect to see rich orange and delicious teal in every aspect. And I couldn’t be happier, you know? I’m already dreaming about the dresses I’m about to acquire, lipsticks I’m going to apply and bright, joyful moments I’m going to live while surrounded by pretty colors. Sigh, I think I’m too carried away by this bliss.

Bohemian Charm

Today I found myself dreaming about bold colors, florals and geometric patterns. On a dreary day like today that can be the only thing to save me, you know? I’m really looking forward to spring and summer, when I’ll finally be able to pull out all my colorful dresses and colorful accessories. Ah dreams! But we’re almost there, so hold on a little more, that is if you’re like me. These pictures where fashion inspires interior design (or vice-versa, why not) are the perfect image of how I would like my life to be, at least for one day. Bohemian and charming – when freedom is all you have and the sky is your limit :).
