Back to business :)

Hello, sweet friends! Do you still remember me? It’s been too long since I last posted something so if you forgot how am I – I can totally understand you (I do hope you’ll come back though!). So I had a baby boy about two months ago and I took some time off to adjust to this new role (which is much harder than it seems, by the way!). All in all, we’re good – baby M is growing up way too fast and already looks like a little man who laughs, ‘speaks’ his own language and makes us happy day by day :).

So today I’m here sincerely hoping I’ll be able to get back to daily posting (or a few times per week at least) and since Christmas is right around the corner of course I had to share a few inspirational, relaxing and pretty pictures with you just to put you in the right mood!

Creative work spaces

While I admit that creative doesn’t always mean uncluttered and neat (and I’m now in a very minimalistic mood) I do love to see inspiring, creative offices where ideas flow from each inch of the space: from layered rugs to mixed textures to enormous moodboards and shelves with books – I mean one has to be brave to do all this at once, don’t you think? And since in this phase of my life I’m not much of an experimenter decor wise I’m totally fine with staring at this from aside.

Twinkle, twinkle

There’s no more relevant symbol of Christmas than the twinkle lights, right? They’re absolutely magical and breathtaking! On this Christmas-y note I wish you a wonderful Monday and a great week!

Stay warm and happy weekend

Hello, sweets! Are you having a relaxing Saturday? I sure am, cozied up in bed with my laptop, warm under a cover and inspired big time! Inspired to be better, happier, more understanding and inspired to smile more (new year’s resolutions perhaps?). What are you inspired to do today?

I have to say it wouldn’t be the same without the ‘warm under a cover’ part, I’m obsessed with staying warm and hate it when I’m cold. Seriously, there’s no worse feeling for me. That’s why I’m dreaming today about fireplaces of all kind – they totally change a room making it more inviting and home-y.

Simple living

Hello, sweet creamylifers! So sorry I haven’t posted anything the last couple days, it was one of those weeks, you know? So today, as a treat and a way to make it up to you, I have a post that shows so many things I adore: white done right, simple living, Scandinavian chicness, minimalist style with a wow-factor and more. Without any further ado, here’s a home I’m ready to move in right away!

Tartan as we know it

Is there anything cozier than tartan? The pattern is the king of the fall/winter seasons and who’d think it will look just so perfect in the ensemble of earthy colors, fallen leaves, fire and hot cocoa? Oh and maybe a book too, because cuddling in front of a fire without a book is just not the same, right? To help you get cozy and cuddle up (even if it’s Tuesday and there’s no time for that), here’s a pretty collection of images:

The power of gray

With the dreary days coming upon us I find myself caught in the timeless magic of the color gray which (especially these days) feels so adjustable and flexible. For an instance gray can be neutral and we can combine it with absolutely every single color (which will look like popping out, exactly because of gray), on another hand gray can be considered dramatic if used as a main (or the only one) color in a room and lastly, if combined with gold accents gray can look so elegant and timeless. If you think I’m wrong, please leave your thoughts in the comments :)

Serene whites

Ever wondered why is white both calming, warm-ish and sterile at the same time? I know it’s an unimaginable combo, but I often feel exactly this when I see how this color is used in interiors. Sometimes it can be very soothing while other times so minimalist and look-but-don’t-touch. The home tour below features a white (beige-y) which is very warm, serene and simple perfection for a home. Take a look:

happy birthday RUE

Rue magazine turned one, congratulations to the amazing team! The magazine has been a treasure and inspiration from the very first issue and I believe I’ll keep being astonished by it till the end (hope there won’t be one). Here are a few favourite images from their anniversary issue (Crystal’s home is simply gorgeous). Congrats, girls!

Think Big

I just came across a home that perfectly fits under the saying ‘think big’. With mostly big size wall art, that space became a livable gallery, eclectic and grand. And I got myself thinking that big pieces are the only thing you need in a home for a bigger impact and a more dramatic look. Whether it’s about paintings, mirrors or even rugs it all works the same. Think big, people!
