There is never too much Light…

March 9th, 2010

Daylight, sunlight or something related to light. I’m loving interiors with big windows and white-creamy-pearl colors. Alright, the list of my favorite  light colors it’s longer, so I just mentioned the short version. And the trick I’ve learned is that if you want an apartment that looks so much light, use the colors from the light white spectrum and you won’t fail! Plus, I know that if you have a small apartment, you will make it look way bigger only if you paint your walls in white :). Easy, isn’t it? Here are some images of a really light space, designed by Sara Gilbane, a very talented interior designer. Enjoy!

Fresh and Bright Kitchen…

March 2nd, 2010

…which belongs to Kate of Centsational Girl. Remember her, right? She’s a passionate DIY-er and no surprise that she renovated her kitchen by herself. This place looks amazing, so much light, so cozy design, I bet now the kitchen is Kate’s favorite place in the house. Check out the pictures:

Inside an one-room apartment

February 18th, 2010

“Even small spaces can look big” (by Ludmila)

Haha! I guess I’m not so good with inventing quotes. What I wanted to say is that an apartment of 40-45 sq.m can look way bigger than this, the trick is to know how to design and decorate it! Here are some examples:

1. Just 46 sq.m

Kate’s Nursery

February 12th, 2010

Well, hi again! The baby fever I’m having (you all know about it) is back again! And the reason is a site which I stumbled upon accidentally and I don’t regret at all! The site is called All Things G&D and there I saw this gorgeous nursery, which belongs to little cutie-pie Kate, G&D’s daughter. I simply love the colors: it’s in purple, fuchsia and orange. This sounds so cool, just imagine how does it look!

Julia’s Kitchen

February 9th, 2010

You all probably know who is Julia Child and, of course, you all watched the movie “Julie and Julia”! Can I confess something to you? I adore this movie! It’s extremely inspiring, for me! The first time when I saw it, I was laughing,  living (virtually) the life Julie lived and her ambition of becoming a writer! I’m not dreaming about being a writer, but I do have a blog and that’s why I become so sensitive every time I see Julie and Julia! Guess what? Today I took a quick look at the movie again, to get some inspiration :), and I completely fell in love with Julia Child’s kitchen! Now that is a real vintage, cozy kitchen! And notice all those kitchen pans and pots hanging on the wall! It’s just fabulous!

P.S. I love Meryl Streep in every movie of hers, but in “Julie and Julia” she was just gorgeous and she is my favorite! :)

Manhattan Rainbow

February 8th, 2010

Rainbow, because this is exactly how many colors the apartment below has! The apartment has two-beds, it’s in Manhattan and it’s definitely gorgeous! I wouldn’t mind to have such a colorful room at least, I would probably spend all my day in there :). Well I’m really impressed to see it, it inspired me to paint all my tables and chairs and make my own rainbow!

More Turquoise

February 4th, 2010

Erin from House of Turquoise is obsessed with this color! You can’t imagine how much of turquoise she has on her blog! But I enjoy this, because I’m an inactive turquoise fan. Inactive it means that I love it, I’m just less addicted to it :). Anyways, Erin’s blog is great, so bright and so…turquoise! Love it! Here is some turquoise inspiration for those of you who share the love for this color, as we do! 100% worth reading Erin’s blog!

P.S. Don’t forget that turquoise is the main color of 2010, you just must consider adding it to your life!

How do you like living in an underground house?

January 18th, 2010

One more insane home decor, along the Clock Tower apartment, an underground home in Switzerland! You understood correctly, it’s under the ground! Truly incredible how wide human’s imagination is! The house looks great and it has all the things a normal house has, living and dining rooms, guest room and so on. But this similarity is so unimportant when we think that the house is underground! I think it’s kinda freaking out to live underground, don’t you think so?

Take a look at these pictures.
