Flowers for your home

March 6th, 2010

The title for this post is so cute, I so much like it! If you’re like me, I mean eternally lovingĀ  flowers, having them in every corner of your home, welcome to the club :)! Glad to see you and I’m wishing you all a great weekend!

Well, I think there are never to many flowers, so if you already live the situation I’ve mentioned above (flowers in each corner of the home) and still think it’s not enough, I’m here to help and share with you some ideas about different ways of decorating your home with different sort of flowers. You’ll understand what I mean as soon as I show the images. Enjoy!

Hello Spring: Peonies

March 2nd, 2010

I’m starting today my new chain of blog posts dedicated to spring as I’ve waited so much for “her”. I wrote “her” not “it” because for me this season means much more than just some 3 months between winter and summer. I love you, Spring!

And the first thing I’m gonna write about is one of my favorite topics: flowers and particularly about peonies. I think I have a crush on them, they’re so G-O-R-G-E-O-U-S! I realized this now! Although I lived next to them all my life (in the place I lived all my life before getting married they’re growing everywhere!), I feel little awkward now, the least I can say :). Back to my crush, I was researching a little and I was amazed with all the peonies arrangements and otherĀ  peony-connected things. Take a look!

What is Spring?

February 24th, 2010

Can anyone tell me what is Spring?.. Let me tell you what does spring mean to me: life, flowers, bloom, bright colors and some other similar stuff. Really, what else would suppose to be this season? For example, Wikipedia says that spring is “the transition period between winter and summer”. No way, it can be that simple! Please, feel free to tell me what is spring for you!

Some spring inspiration (according to my theory about its meaning):

Color+Inspiration: Pink

February 23rd, 2010

Hello, my dear readers! I bet I didn’t surprise anybody with pink inspiration, did I? It’s pretty obvious why pink is my weakness, I’m a girly girl!!! Maybe only sometimes :). I still like pink a lot, especially for a baby girl’s room or clothing! How cute that can be?! But there are other places where pink fits just perfectly. Here are they:

Color+Inspiration: Purple

February 22nd, 2010

Hey there and happy Monday! How was your weekend? My today’s favorite color is purple. It helps me to bring on some brightness into my life, to get rid of all black-brown-grey winter tones (I’m really exhausted of them already)! Purple seem to be the cutest and the most feminine color of all, doesn’t it? Ok, for me it does :). Here is some purple inspiration, maybe it will bring a cup of brightness to you too!

P.S. Purple is my mother’s favorite color, one more reason to love it!

Vase Corset

February 18th, 2010

This thing is just fabulous!!! So far, it’s the most original centerpiece I’ve seen in awhile. I mean the vases with velvet corsets. Hm, it even sounds sexy :). Anyway you can purchase this vases at Social Couture and you can even choose the color of the ribbon: black, red or pink. Take a look!

Color+Inspiration: Light Blue

February 16th, 2010

Today I woke up and looked up to the sky, it was so pure and innocent, it was so much of light blue! Today I think I finally felt that the spring is getting closer and closer every day, this makes me extremely happy! I love you Spring and I love you Light Blue!!!

*Please do not confuse light blue with blue and/or turquoise!

In Love With Tulips

February 8th, 2010

I love these flowers ever since I remember myself! My father used to bring tulips home – one bunch for me and another one for my mother. These flowers are really simple, but so feminine! For me, they represent the woman, cute and feminine! And some time ago I saw a post on Paige One Events about some flower market in UK and between all those flowers were tulips as well. I got trapped, I felt I just needed to write about tulips! So, I googled and I found these beautiful tulip arrangements!

February 7th, 2010

OMG! This is the only phrase I can say now, after I saw the pictures of a wedding on Paige One Events. The colors are fabulous: green, fuchsia and orange+pink, a combo that will leave everybody speechless! Now I’m stopping speaking, just take a look and enjoy every picture!

DIY: Kusudama Flower

February 4th, 2010

Hi there! Hope you’re having a great week so far, 2 more days and it’s weekend! Today I’m here to tell you that I think I found out about one more talent that I have :). I like working with paper: cutting, gluing and so on. Today I tried once again myself in this and again I’m pretty satisfied! I made a Kusudama flower, based on Origami technology. I saw the tutorial on Cut out and keep and I knew I can make it! It’s pretty easy, not requiring so much time and it doesn’t require actually any expenses!

Here is what I got:

2 cute Kusudama flowers, with 5 and 6 petals, made of paper (for the 6 petals flower I used a recycled magazine and for the other one regular white paper).

I will do more, to reach a suitable number for a bouquet, but I also saw that Marianne from Noces de coton framed them, so I might do the same, it looks nice anyways!
