Hot like Mexico

Happy Friday, friends! With the hope that your week was amazingly productive, I’ll wrap it up with a HOT post and better saying with a hot Mexican inspired one. I got myself caught in all the bold colors so specific to a Mexican interior, in the ethnic patterns and passion which surrounds this VERY attractive style. And FYI, the colors which describe Mexican style are yellow, red and blue and although they’re all used in bright shades, the feeling created by this combo doesn’t seem less appealing or too dark – it’s the perfect balance of culture, beauty and country’s personality. And the first that came to my mind when preparing this post was the brilliant, talented Frida Kahlo and her oh-so-Latino look! Don’t you think she’s the best person to show off the wonderful Latino spirit?

So, with this colorful post I’m wishing you all a fantastic weekend! Enjoy it at its best!

Etsy: Post road vintage

If you’ve been reading this blog for a while, you already know that I have a major crush on all things vintage – from furniture to books to paintings and so on. That being said, I figured I didn’t post long time about my obsession, so now I’m just ready to spread some vintage love here. Good thing Etsy is always here to help. Well, actually I got help from a particular shop on Etsy called Post road vintage. Seeing the pretty vintage jars, rustic hooks and adorable milk bottles made me gasp and a feeling of excitement embraced me. Does it happen to you when you’re so excited to see something that you almost can breathe and actually you can hardly focus to see it?! Well, it happens to me quite often. Here are my picks, visit the shop to see more.

Monique Germon – Designer, Stylist and Photographer

Hello everyone! Have you heard of Monique Germon? No? That’s alright, I haven’t heard of her either until now, so I knew I must introduce Monique to all of you! The title of this post says everything actually – she’s a designer, stylist, photographer, writer and art director (quite impressive, right?). She lives in Australia and has a background in classical singing, piano & extensive travel. Monique now works as a creative professional on various projects focusing mainly on design, writing & photography and her style is all about charm and whimsy – sounds perfectly attractive as I always thought that a good slice of relaxed humor makes art even more stunning and catchy. Here’s some of Monique’s work, but on her site and blog you’ll find much more, so go ahead, check it out!

Inspired by fall

Fall is approaching with huge steps and I couldn’t avoid noticing the abundance of fall inspired posts lately in our blogland. And while I’m not a big fan of fall as a season (rainy days are my worst nightmare), I do love the colors which describe it – hues of orange and red,  warm browns and calming soft whites is what work amazing in a fall inspired interior and decor. So, I wanted to bring my own word into the world of fall inspired rooms with this post which shows a perfectly paired orange and brown, a wallpaper which will contemplate the beauty of this season and simply inspiration for you to get an idea or two. Enjoy:

Inside Kare shop

I always like to come across local brands, names, shops and so on, but being in Belgrade for one year makes it a little complicated as a lot of places and people are still unknown for me (believe me, I’m working on this). So you’ll easily guess how excited I was to be introduced to Kare – a shop in Belgrade (which is a branch of a worldwide chain of shops with the same name) selling furniture and accessories to die for! Seriously, Kare is the type of place where I’d love to live (or at least to leave all my money there!). Not only they have my favorite chairs such as Butterfly, Egg and Louise chairs, the variety of colorful lamps, frames, mirrors, dressers and chandeliers is so worth your look! Kare is pure heaven, so if you’re from Serbia and you need a shop which will help you a lot with decorating, then Kare is the perfect place! But if you’re not from Serbia, at least enjoy some sneak peeks of Kare’s inside space:

Today’s the day…

Well, my friends, happy Sunday to all! As you all know I’m getting married today, although the husband put the ring on my finger nearly a year ago (City Hall part, now we have church part & the party). I know, it’s quite complicated, but you get the point. However, I wanted to stop by today and wish you all loads of happiness, joy and wonderful moments in your life!

Hi everyone! How was your week? I’m really sorry for being so absent the last few days, the thing is that my family is visiting us now, so I need to be with them, show them where do I live and all these things! I’m so thrilled to have them here with us and even more thrilled to have our wedding ceremony on Sunday! But I wanted to stop by today and be with you for a while as I’ve missed you so much! And also I wanted to introduce you to an amazing shop that I stumbled upon long time ago and never had the time to write about  (perhaps you’re already familiar with it) – it’s about the shop of the lovely Louise of Table Tonic blog. I feel a deep admiration for Louise (yes, I FEEL and I can’t explain why), because she’s such a great blogger, with a wonderful sense of style (you can convince yourself about this if you check her shop) and a very inspiring and fun blog which I enjoy reading always! So, about Louise’s shop – it’s colorful, modern and as stylish as the owner herself! Please take a look at my picks, but do visit the shop to see all the eye candy there!

I’m simply obsessed with all these layered patterns, not to mention the rustic feeling I got when seeing this picture! These rugs are such an amazing detail and I think that’s what makes this room so inviting! How pretty are the old & new stuff? Or the mismatched chairs in here? Blissful!
