Hi everyone! How is your week so far? Yesterday was a sort of ‘interior design-free’ day on creamylife and I must say that I truly missed this, you know? I miss sharing with you beautiful interiors and speaking with you about styles, colors and well, interior design. So today I couldn’t wait to start the blogging day with a design trend – white glossy floors! I remember when I blogged about black glossy floors and although they’re still my crush, let’s face it – I’m not the person who lives on *that* edge and would hardly decide to go with black floors in my home (I certainly think they’re very chic and glamorous, so if you want to paint your floors in black – do it!). White floors are more practical as they will go together with plenty of different colors and styles, also they’ll make a room look lighter and larger which is important if we’re speaking about small spaces. And last, you all know my love for Scandinavian interiors and what describes better a Scandinavian style than a white glossy floor, with earthy colored furniture and decor?

As I said, white floors look amazing along black or brown accessories (lamps, rugs, chairs), as well as brighter colors such as the green from the above picture. What do you think?
On a sad note, would like to pay a tribute to a fellow blogger who passed away on July 10th, killed in a car accident. Marija of Holding Court blog was a talented interior designer and very inspiring blogger – so much to learn from her! And now she is gone, leaving us all, especially her loving husband Cory (who wrote a post letting Marija’s readers know about the tragedy) and their two adorable children Olivija (9) and Nigel (4) heartbroken. I can only imagine the hard times Marija’s family is having right now, so I would like to ask you to keep them in your prayers and send them from wherever you are positive thoughts. I didn’t know Marija in person, but I can’t help myself right now but be devastated and with tears in my eyes…
Dear Marija, you will be missed by all of us and thank you for the fact you were a part of the blogging community and inspired us with your posts…
