Pattern love: Otomi

In continuation of the pattern adventure I’ve been living on creamylife, I bring you another design, all the way from Mexico, which is called Otomi pattern and it’s handmade by the Otomi Indians from Mexico. We all love it, but I know a few people who didn’t know the name of the pattern (including myself), so today I thought I can introduce Otomi pattern to everybody and say my two cents about it. Oh well, what other can I say except that it is a gorgeous embroidery, it’s handmade and will bring a slice of that Mexican charm into your home. These days Otomi is not only a fabric pattern, it’s also a gorgeous wallpaper which will dress up our space. Here are some examples of Otomi pattern:

The Otomi fabrics come in different colors and even can be multi-colored and you can only try to imagine how stunning it looks on a white bed!

On another note, please visit Jami’s blog, Imagine Design, for a cocktail treat made by me! If you fancy a Piña Colada, then I’ll be glad to see you joining me there and leave a comment! xoxo

Don’t even get me started on Otomi!! I have a new-found love for it! I want a big wall hanging, but the originals are a little too expensive for me right now. I wonder if they are cheaper if bought straight from Mexico – I might be heading there for Christmas??

I’m so in love with this! but they are so expensive! I mean… I’m sure they’re worth the money since its all hand made but I just cant afford it… could someone tell me the price of I bought it in mexico? some friends are going there for vacation and if they are more affordable I would ask them to bring me one…
