Don’t know if you have noticed it, but these days birdcages are everywhere in interior design industry. From wallpapers to lighting fixtures to cushions they are very popular details to accessorize with! And I’m really drooling over a shabby birdcage, so I can put in a candle, a pretty little faux birdie to cheer my days up :). Sounds blissful and oh so chic, right? Here are a few examples I gathered from around the web and I’d really like to know what do you think about decorating with birdcages!

I think the most popular way of using birdcages is having them as centerpieces and I definitely understand why! I mean, they’re so charming bringing a vintage air to the entire atmosphere and what’s not to love?!

I absolutely love the idea of decorating with a birdcage! It’s such a fun and whimsical way to add interest to a room!

I love beautiful iron LARGE birdcages … kind of remind me of beautiful conservatories. And I’m a bit in love with the wallpaper you have there, girls. Verrry, verrry pretty and I can see myself doing exactly what the girl in the photo is doing too. And the pillow is gorgeous in its striking graphic-ness ;) Thanks for a fun & lovely post! Guess I’ll have to flutter away now until next time!
Oh I just love this trend! Def gives a space a touch of wimsy!

I really like this look, especially when the birdcages are filled with things other than birds (I already have cats to clean up after). And that wallpaper I do adore! What a great way to create some interest.

I love birdcages. This is such a great selection!
I love the repetition and the scale created by using multiples (a la first photo). Modern way of doing a vintage look, ;)
