Traditional and comfy home

It’s been a long time since I’ve been so in love with a traditional home, but traditional to its core! In fact, I’m not sure I have ever truly loved traditionalism in a home, but I guess we all change, so this could be anticipated. Anyway, the home of a family of four never looked more comfortable, elegant and soothing at the same time. The elegant details give the feel of majestic, but livable without making the home feel like a museum (right up my alley). Oh, did I mention that certain rooms (like daughter’s room and a reading nook) do have a pop of color looking pretty modern. Impressive is how the designer Amy Morris managed to make it all together work perfectly – that’s real talent, guys! Take a look:

Home tour: Tobi Fairley

I’ve been a fan of Tobi Fairley since forever and I truly believe she’s a genius! Her design aesthetics is incredibly chic and modern, all the rooms Tobi created are to die for – Tobi rocks it big time. Also, I believe she’s the kindest and most adorable person ever, really! Imagine my feelings when I saw her home! Oh my, you guys – it’s amazingly gorgeous and inviting! Here, I’m sharing it with you! Bravo for Tobi!

Tradhome magazine

By this moment you have all probably heard about the collaboration between Lonny magazine and Traditional home. Have you checked Tradhome mag yet? Just as its title says, the magazine is full of traditional designs and while I never thought I like traditional designs, I found the interiors from Tradhome very refreshing and innovative. However one thing I’ve learned throughout the magazine is that traditionalism can look stunning, but only when you add your own, special touch to the room: this might be an eclectic or extravagant piece – important is to break a little the ‘too traditional’ look of the space. The traditional tendencies seen in the magazine were the use of gold, black, white, brown and neutral shades and I guess that’s exactly what felt like a breath of fresh air to me.
