Color+Inspiration: Coral+Green

And we met again, my friends! After yesterday’s news I understood even better how important is to have you all and how much your support means to me, I can only be eternally grateful for all the tweets on Twitter and comments and thank God I’m blessed to have so amazing readers! On another note, today on creamylife’s Facebook page I posted this picture which inspired me to write my today’s post, asking if you can guess what is it about. And I got suggestions, though nobody guessed that I was smitten by the lovely, live color combo on the package which afterward guided me to put together this color+inspiration post. So now I’m absolutely in love with coral and green in all their shades (from pinky to peachy coral to mint, apple to pale green – no limits!) and if the below pictures feel too chaotically chosen, think better about the abundance of color ideas you can get!

Supermarket Concept Store in Belgrade

So you remember the last Serbian artist featured on creamylife, don’t you? Sure you do! My utterly talented friend Marija, who’s creating funky furniture that can be found in Supermarket concept store here in Belgrade. Well, I wanted to show you some pictures of this store as I had the chance to go there this past Saturday and let me tell you the store is nothing but a modern, extravagant, eclectic and not-your-average store I’ve ever seen! And it’s not just a store, you’ll find there restaurant, SPA and beauty salons, flower shop, clothing shops and just everything you’d need! Seriously, I kid you not, that place is awesome! I managed to snap some shots, before a lady told me I’m not allowed to take pictures (but why can’t I? I’ll never understand this!):

P.S. You can see Marija’s creations in these pictures. In person they’re even more gorgeous!

Home Tour: Ceramicist Anne Black

Well hello again! I’m very excited to feature this home tour as it’s a huge delight to see my dream home in person, sort of (even though somebody else lives there). And not just somebody, but the amazing ceramicist Anne Black! She is a Danish designer creating porcelain items that are classical with a modern twist, it comes in lovely colors and shapes and seeing her home didn’t come as a surprise to me – a person with such an aesthetics and a fine sense of style can’t do otherwise with decorating her own nest. How is Anne’s home? So glad you asked! It’s crispy clean, modern, stylish and the best of it is that you can see splashes of hot colors here and there, such as red Eames Eiffel chair, black, mismatched dining chairs (and don’t think that black isn’t a splash of color in that home, I assure you it is!) and more. Here are some pictures, to see the entire home tour go here.

Vintage inspired industrial stools

Lately I’ve been drawn to stools and specifically to industrial stools in a modern kitchen with a vintage twist. I’m loving the contrast between wood kitchen island+cabinets & metal stools, that’s a real statement for a space, don’t you think? And the best part about these stools is that they can be easily found at flea markets and would look stunning without any renovation/restoration. And yes, these stools can also be in different colors, but to be straight I like more their look as if they’d been used for long time, the aged feeling makes them even more charming! Oh and another thing – don’t they look amazing in a rustic inspired kitchen, with all that wood and shabby atmosphere? I think they do! Here are some examples of stools I’d absolutely love to bring into my kitchen!

Penelope’s room

Hello everyone! I had through my bookmarks a lovely blog post which I’m gonna share with you right now! It’s about the adorable room of Penelope, the sweet girl of Melissa – blogger behind ISLY (I Still Love You). The room is so full of sunshine, with all the popping yellow in there. It literally makes me happy just looking at it and I thought that Penelope’s room is definitely worth your attention! For the detailed description of the decorating process, check Melissa’s post about it, I’ll just share some pictures with you, hoping to bring little sunshine into your day!

Sneak peek of Belgrade apartments

Happy Friday everyone! Hope your week went smoothly and that you’re ready for a R&R time (congratulations to my readers from Canada and USA for having an extra day off!). This week Elle Dekor Serbia (man, how I adore this magazine!) gave us a roundup of Belgrade apartments featured in the magazine at some point. A small confession: I put my hands on Elle Dekor not so long time ago, so that being said – I missed some issues from before. That is the reason I was very thrilled to see the mentioned pictures; seeing that there are talented and stylish people here wasn’t a surprise, but seeing the proof of the fact was something exciting! So I’d like to share with you now some pictures, so you can have an idea of how are apartments in Belgrade decorated (of course interiors vary due to owners’ styles and preferences, but still):

Jeff Andrews Design

You guys won’t believe what I just spotted! A REAL TREASURE! Seriously, the portfolio of interior designer Jeff Andrews is perfection and all the rooms he worked his magic on are to die for, if I say so myself! His fine aesthetic and modern concepts are creating spaces far above my ideas of a livable ambiance! When I grow up, I want to be like Jeff Andrews, but alas, talented artists like him isn’t something we see everyday. I’d just love to have him decorating my home, his famous name is trust-worthy and that has been proven by the numerous publications his work appeared in.

Note to self: Jeff Andrews designed Khloe Kardashian’s office, so he’s REALLY out of your price range! Who cares, a girl can dream, right? :)

Pattern love: Otomi

In continuation of the pattern adventure I’ve been living on creamylife, I bring you another design, all the way from Mexico, which is called Otomi pattern and it’s handmade by the Otomi Indians from Mexico. We all love it, but I know a few people who didn’t know the name of the pattern (including myself), so today I thought I can introduce Otomi pattern to everybody and say my two cents about it. Oh well, what other can I say except that it is a gorgeous embroidery, it’s handmade and will bring a slice of that Mexican charm into your home. These days Otomi is not only a fabric pattern, it’s also a gorgeous wallpaper which will dress up our space. Here are some examples of Otomi pattern:
