Polka dot is a really popular theme for a baby room or furniture. But, did you notice lately how polka dot is being used not only when related to kids?! And I admit that I get melted when seeing this. The look of a polka dot sofa is so innocent and cute, while showing off a challenge. I mean, come on, not everybody would dare to paint the bathroom floor in white and brown polka dots (see picture below). Whether I’m right or not, polka dots smell French (a bit) and it attracts somebody’s eye, doesn’t it?
Lamps
Hello, dear readers! I really hope you had a fabulous weekend! Did something the same fabulous happen to you during these 2 short days? Please share it in your comments :).
I’ll start my week by posting about light (again) and particularly about lamps: table lamps, floor lamps and just cute masterpieces! We all need light, whether it’s natural (which is the best) or artificial given by lamps. Nowadays, designers are so creative that they can impress and fulfill the tastes of any person!
Light+Colors
Oh, I need this mix! And if to be more precise, I meant some gorgeous rooms I stumbled upon some time ago. I just didn’t ever get to them more seriously, but now I thought I’d sneak a peek and just hope you’ll like them as much as I do! You know I have a crush on rooms with lots of sunlight and bright (or not) colors, well, the images are the perfect ones as they express both: brightness and color. What can I say? I’m in love with them and I’ll always be :).
Reading about New York Interiors…
That’s right, you guessed! My new design book is all about New York Interiors and I just love it! I’ve finished reading about London Interiors and I was really impatient to see what New York will bring me. Later I’ll be posting some of my favorite images from the book, so stay tuned!
Is somebody else reading this or maybe read it before? What are your impressions?

And a bit more of vintage
And again a blog post related to kitchen. This time we’ll be safely drowning in vintage style and if to be more precise, in vintage houseware. I must confess something to you, my friends, I’m so sorry for not having anything from my grandparents’ or even grand-grandparents’ homes (it just happened that at that time I was too young to realize I love vintage), that would’ve been so huge treasure of vintage stuff, I would be the happiest. I guess it just wasn’t meant to be and I should be picking up vintage now, whenever I have the opportunity to get one. So, vintage in the kitchen:
Inspiration for living room
Who thinks that the living room is one of the most important in the house? Alright, I see you! And I agree with you! Besides bedroom (that turns to be the most important), the living room has the role of gathering friends and family and it definitely should be inviting, warm and cozy, don’t you think so? I’ve been attracted by nice living rooms lately, so I searched for them,of course. Just to check some styles and designs…That’s what I’ve found:
Color+Inspiration: Fuchsia
And who doesn’t love fuchsia? Impossible not to love it as it’s such a cheerful color, full of life. I would place fuchsia next to turquoise and yellow in my list (you know last two are my favorites, right?). So for a brighter spring and a happier life I recommend using fuchsia as the main color for your space. Oh, you need inspiration? Here it comes:
Thumbs up for Rie Elise Larsen
You’ll ask who’s Rie Elise Larsen? I didn’t know them until today, when I saw it on Decor8 and yes, this store took my heart. I’m starting to think that Danish designers are more than just talented, they have the taste of style as a gift from up there and now I can’t help myself than just love this store, adore it and enjoy it! Well and hope that one day I’ll have the honor to go shopping there :).
Home Tour: Ann Marie Favot of Style at Home
Hello once again, friends! Hope you had a great start of the week! I would like to share with you now a home that certainly completes my list of my dream homes. You can get from there plenty of inspiration and that’s exactly where we’re going to, right? As I said, the home belongs to Ann Marie Favot, my favorite Style at Home‘s design editor and it deserves the best appreciation! Decorated with white, it seems so perfect, I adore both the design and details of the home. Take a look:
