Kate’s Nursery

Well, hi again! The baby fever I’m having (you all know about it) is back again! And the reason is a site which I stumbled upon accidentally and I don’t regret at all! The site is called All Things G&D and there I saw this gorgeous nursery, which belongs to little cutie-pie Kate, G&D’s daughter. I simply love the colors: it’s in purple, fuchsia and orange. This sounds so cool, just imagine how does it look!

Color+Inspiration: Yellow

Hello friends and Happy Friday! Soon we’re stepping into the weekend time, but not a regular weekend, A Valentine’s day one! Are you having any special plans for the day, a party or a romantic dinner? Anyways, I wish you to have fun and enjoy each second of the V-Day!

Today, I’m writing again about colors that inspire me and guess what, today my favorite is yellow! Why? Aw, because it reminds me a lot about sunny weather and warm days and I miss this so much! Outside it’s snowing with huge  snowflakes (and I really mean it, the snowflakes are like some golf balls!) and now more than ever I’m dreaming about sun, beach and cozy summer dresses :).

Two in One…

… Or the eternal friendship between flora and fauna! Call it however you want, but the fact that this thing is ingenious – for sure! I bet you’re curious what am I talking about? Alright, it’s about a pot, where can fit both your favorite plant/flower and your fish! Ok, it’s little hard to understand what I mean, here it this!

Julia’s Kitchen

You all probably know who is Julia Child and, of course, you all watched the movie “Julie and Julia”! Can I confess something to you? I adore this movie! It’s extremely inspiring, for me! The first time when I saw it, I was laughing,  living (virtually) the life Julie lived and her ambition of becoming a writer! I’m not dreaming about being a writer, but I do have a blog and that’s why I become so sensitive every time I see Julie and Julia! Guess what? Today I took a quick look at the movie again, to get some inspiration :), and I completely fell in love with Julia Child’s kitchen! Now that is a real vintage, cozy kitchen! And notice all those kitchen pans and pots hanging on the wall! It’s just fabulous!

P.S. I love Meryl Streep in every movie of hers, but in “Julie and Julia” she was just gorgeous and she is my favorite! :)

Manhattan Rainbow

Rainbow, because this is exactly how many colors the apartment below has! The apartment has two-beds, it’s in Manhattan and it’s definitely gorgeous! I wouldn’t mind to have such a colorful room at least, I would probably spend all my day in there :). Well I’m really impressed to see it, it inspired me to paint all my tables and chairs and make my own rainbow!

Finally, my home office!

Yes, I’m so happy and excited at the same time! I didn’t have a home office so far, so I was always blogging in bed, dining table, my husband’s office and so on. And whenever I was asking when I’ll get my own office, I was hearing “eventually” :). But yesterday, finally the moment came! We bought everything we needed to DIY an office table, a chair and voila! I’m writing to you now, sitting in my cutest office :). That’s how everything happened:

More Turquoise

Erin from House of Turquoise is obsessed with this color! You can’t imagine how much of turquoise she has on her blog! But I enjoy this, because I’m an inactive turquoise fan. Inactive it means that I love it, I’m just less addicted to it :). Anyways, Erin’s blog is great, so bright and so…turquoise! Love it! Here is some turquoise inspiration for those of you who share the love for this color, as we do! 100% worth reading Erin’s blog!

P.S. Don’t forget that turquoise is the main color of 2010, you just must consider adding it to your life!

DIY: Kusudama Flower

Hi there! Hope you’re having a great week so far, 2 more days and it’s weekend! Today I’m here to tell you that I think I found out about one more talent that I have :). I like working with paper: cutting, gluing and so on. Today I tried once again myself in this and again I’m pretty satisfied! I made a Kusudama flower, based on Origami technology. I saw the tutorial on Cut out and keep and I knew I can make it! It’s pretty easy, not requiring so much time and it doesn’t require actually any expenses!

Here is what I got:

2 cute Kusudama flowers, with 5 and 6 petals, made of paper (for the 6 petals flower I used a recycled magazine and for the other one regular white paper).

I will do more, to reach a suitable number for a bouquet, but I also saw that Marianne from Noces de coton framed them, so I might do the same, it looks nice anyways!

Whiter than White

White has been always a color in trend, classical, never dying. And it will always be like this, at least in 2010 more and more designers choose white to be the main and maybe the only color of the room. I said room because it can be bedroom, dining room, restroom or bathroom – white everywhere! Take a look at the pictures below and leave your comments about white :).
