Wind & Willow Home collection

I know I wrote a post on the dipped trend a couple of weeks back, but now let’s just say the focus isn’t on anything dipped, ok? Instead I want to introduce you to a lovely collection of wooden bowls, spoons, cups etc. All handmade, all adorable! I found on Etsy this shop that had too cute stuff to leave it aside. Plus it shows two of the current mega-trends: neon colors and dipped – in this case it’s a match made in heaven. I’m sure you’ll love it!

Ombre trend

Continuing with my trend reporting, here’s another one that is done by everyone and their mother – ombre. Frankly, I got enough of it and am so ready to see it fade, but I guess it won’t happen very soon as with every day the ombre trend is more and more popular (fashion, interior design, cake art etc.). It’s not that I don’t like the ombre look – I do, but I also think that the world is full of creative trendsetters and they can already come up with something new – my humble suggestion to style geniuses out there.

Elephant ceramics

Happy Monday, friends! I’m back from a creative block (you know, when you’re unable to come up with a decent post?) and I hope inspiration will stick around for a while. Many things happened during my absence, many finds that caught my eye, many ideas I want to blog about, like for example ceramics. I feel like ceramic items are the comfiest yet edgy-modern approach a table setting might get. The natural look with a pop of color is the best way to decorate your summer outdoor table. I’m loving these adorable plates from Elephant ceramics – the color palette is to die for!

Simple color palette

Sometimes you just need natural colors in your life, right? I’m having some kind of color fevers – one day I’m head over heels for bright palettes, other days I crave simple shades of black, white, gray. I’m guessing it’s a normal thing, people change, as well as their styles and aesthetics. Does this happen to you (because it happens to me quite regularly)?

Balcony love

Having a balcony is the thing I covet more than having a villa in the Hampton area, with a huge terrace/patio. This might sound weird, but it’s true – a pretty small balcony oozes coziness, blissful breakfasts with croissants and freshly brewed coffee. Add a few pots with bright petunias and you’re all set up to fully enjoy life.

It’s a magic place that feels like a real home – inviting, cheery and well, happy! I wish all the homes would look like that, the world would definitely be a better place!

Dip it

It’s everywhere – the trend of dipped stuff and it never looked more appealing than now. Kitchen utensils are my favorite part – a fresh twist to boring kitchen items (sounds good to me!). What do you think?

Happy Monday :)

Lovely prints from ConiLab

I love when I’m contacted by readers who are also designers/artists and I get to be introduced to their work. Blogland is huge and it’s impossible to know everyone’s work (and what are the odds to just stumble upon talented personalities?). So I’m grateful when I receive sweet emails which are informative all at once. Case in point, I’d like to introduce you to Coni Della Vedova, graphic designers behind ConiLab, based in Barcelona, Spain. She designs adorable posters using 100% handmade serigraphy (aka screen printing) and I fell in love with them – even considering buying some for our baby‘s nursery :)

Tribal chic

We see more and more of tribal in the blogosphere these days, so I thought I’d add my two cents – I’m hooked. I’m in love with the colors, patterns and I sure like how tribal is used in fashion – gorgeousness all around. But let’s not forget about tribal chicness as seen in interior design – it definitely adds a fresh twist to a space! Whether it’s a cushion, bedspread or wall art – your most exotic dreams become reality in an instant and who doesn’t love that?
