Well, I guess I can say this week is over and now would be the right time to wish you all very happy weekend! And there’s no better way than with another online magazine, new to me, but amazingly inspiring! Have you heard of Covet Garden? That’s the name of the emag which is so full of eye candy and beautiful images, is a must see, people! You can find there vintage and modern, bold and muted – absolutely everything your heart desires! Here are some pictures.

Happy Friday all! Are you as happy for the weekend as I am?! To wrap up this blogging week, I thought I’ll discuss with you a hot topic this season (as seen both in fashion and interior design industries) – leopard print! Have you seen that it’s everywhere? Truth being told, I like this pattern more when is used in a subtle way, as accent details in a space rather than when the room is all dressed up in leopard: less leopard print is chic and appealing and stylish, more leopard is vulgar (and this is solely my opinion!). While looking for inspirational pictures, I’ve seen lots of leopard on chairs whether dining chairs or in the living room and I find this a great idea for creating a charming and sophisticated atmosphere in a room, without making it too overwhelming. However, here are my finds and you just must tell me what do you think about leopard!

Good morning everyone! Yesterday I asked all of you if you’d like me to do a review of Moj Stan (my apartment), a Serbian design magazine which I adore and buy it every month without looking back, and you all liked the idea, so here I am now. Moj Stan has always been a favorite of mine, because of its colorful content! They always bring up the best tips and advice, the easiest DIYs and the most gorgeous pictures! When I open it, I feel like abducted as I’m no more on earth, I’m in design heaven, seriously! Now you can imagine my excitement when yesterday my husband bought for me the latest issue! (Isn’t he the sweetest?) Oh and another thing about the magazine! This issue was a wee bit different than the others as it had lots of pictures in earthy tones, woven inspiration and plenty of French country deliciousness! I kid you not, Moj Stan is a must, so run, don’t walk (if you’re local).

You know that I’m more of a color girl, loving everything bright and light, right? However, I have my days when I’m lusting over earthy, natural colored interiors, which emanate warmth and a muted charm. Today is one of those days, so the portfolio of ultra-popular designer Vicente Wolf was a perfect find! I’m sure you know everything about VW, plenty of blog posts dedicated to his work in our blogland, but I needed to add my two cents as he’s truly amazing, his portfolio is delightful, eye candy for us all! The interiors I chose for this post have a rustic feeling to them and they’re making me dream about cozy blankets, books and cups of tea! By the way, in Rue magazine you’ll find an article about an average day of Vicente Wolf, so check it out, it’s very captivating to see what is he up to in his day-to-day life.

Happy Friday all! So happy this week’s almost done. How was your week? Mine was pretty exciting and busy and the weekend looks like will be the same. But that’s a good thing :). A Friday post for you about oriental rugs, as lately I’ve been drawn to them a lot, because they’re just fabulous! Everything about them is perfection: the patterns, the texture and the popping warm colors are somethings every home would appreciate a lot! And the catchiest part about oriental rugs is that they look killer in a modern space, creating an edgy contrast which will only increase your home’s stylish coziness! And although my home country’s culture involved pretty much decorating with oriental rugs (which means I lived all my life having a fabulous ethnic rug in my room), I now look at them in a different way, loving more its look and effect. Here are a few examples of oriental rugs in modern spaces.

I’m more and more in love with Romanian artists and creative minds. First I must mention Freshome, a fabulous site about interior design (last week I found out that the founder of the site lives not so far away from me – exciting!), today I read about Mario Badescu, who is also from Romania, known worldwide for his line of skin care products and now Miha Matei, a talented photographer born in Romania, now living in New York and Los Angeles with her husband and son. In Miha’s portfolio I found pictures which were in my inspiration files since forever, yet I never knew that they were taken by her, like the below picture which can be seen in the post about Ashe+Leandro Interiors. Miha’s photography is stunning and her portfolio is one of those which you want to fully take from her site and just put it on your blog, it’s that good!

Don’t know if you have noticed it, but these days birdcages are everywhere in interior design industry. From wallpapers to lighting fixtures to cushions they are very popular details to accessorize with! And I’m really drooling over a shabby birdcage, so I can put in a candle, a pretty little faux birdie to cheer my days up :). Sounds blissful and oh so chic, right? Here are a few examples I gathered from around the web and I’d really like to know what do you think about decorating with birdcages!

And we met again, my friends! After yesterday’s news I understood even better how important is to have you all and how much your support means to me, I can only be eternally grateful for all the tweets on Twitter and comments and thank God I’m blessed to have so amazing readers! On another note, today on creamylife’s Facebook page I posted this picture which inspired me to write my today’s post, asking if you can guess what is it about. And I got suggestions, though nobody guessed that I was smitten by the lovely, live color combo on the package which afterward guided me to put together this color+inspiration post. So now I’m absolutely in love with coral and green in all their shades (from pinky to peachy coral to mint, apple to pale green – no limits!) and if the below pictures feel too chaotically chosen, think better about the abundance of color ideas you can get!

Well hello again! I’m very excited to feature this home tour as it’s a huge delight to see my dream home in person, sort of (even though somebody else lives there). And not just somebody, but the amazing ceramicist Anne Black! She is a Danish designer creating porcelain items that are classical with a modern twist, it comes in lovely colors and shapes and seeing her home didn’t come as a surprise to me – a person with such an aesthetics and a fine sense of style can’t do otherwise with decorating her own nest. How is Anne’s home? So glad you asked! It’s crispy clean, modern, stylish and the best of it is that you can see splashes of hot colors here and there, such as red Eames Eiffel chair, black, mismatched dining chairs (and don’t think that black isn’t a splash of color in that home, I assure you it is!) and more. Here are some pictures, to see the entire home tour go here.
