It’s Friday, my dears and this means only one thing: weekend is just a few hours away! Oh, sounds so sweet. For today’s post I decided to treat you with something new, but not less delicious than the other posts. I always find myself staring at pictures fashion-meets-decor style, so today in honor of my love for colors plus my mood for everything feminine and fashion I put together this black and white post inspired by the juxtaposition of the two very powerful and beyond amazing industries: fashion and interior design. Enjoy this post, I’ll be back later with a lovely post for a happy weekend!
{Modern} Vintage storage space
Who doesn’t need storage space in their life? I’m a firm believer that you can never have too many drawers and closets. Even better if they’re some vintage deliciousness a-la-post-office-storage, right? Somehow they are SO charming and look so pretty in a room, I’d say it’s an unexpectedly modern item, totally vintage inspired though. Complicated, but well, you get the point.
Teal and cozy
What can be teal AND cozy? Of course a sofa! I came across a home tour with its overall color palette right up my alley (um, hello Scandinavian gorgeousness!), yet I’ve been having my eyes on a particular detail – the sofa in the living room. It’s to die for! It’s teal with hints of emerald green, it’s a leather chicness and it looks very comfy, so well, what’s not to love?

Room of one pattern
I’ve been flipping through my magazines over the weekend and saw some pictures which made me stop, look again (a few times) and ask myself ‘really?’. Ok, so I should probably make myself understood. What do you think about using ONE SINGLE PATTERN in a room? Whether we’re speaking about bedroom, living room or any other, having wallpapers, chairs’ upholstery, curtains, tablecloth and/or sheets in the same pattern – does it make sense at all? The images caught my attention, not sure if it was for a good reason or not. I mean, I don’t intend to criticize designers who like this, but it simply doesn’t feel like fitting my personality (it’s sort of suffocating). Maybe I’m wrong, yet still I’ll say ‘no, thanks’. And you?
Color+Inspiration: Tiffany blue
Good Monday morning! Hoping that you all had a fabulous weekend, will kick off this week with a color+inspiration post and just so you know for the past few days I was inspired to no end by a very bright and lively shade of blue: Tiffany blue, the color of the famous Tiffany & Co. Probably I don’t need to explain much why do I love both the color and the company, I just do and am pretty sure I’m not alone. Here’s some Tiffany blue inspiration:
Industrial chicness {and happy weekend}
And we’ve made it. It’s Friday evening here where I am and I’m more than ready to call it a day (and week). How was your week? Were you snowed in? I was tweeting yesterday that as crazy as it may sound, I wish we were snowed in so I get to stay at home, under warm blankets, with tea, laptop and just be inspired by these cozy feelings. Alas, it wasn’t meant to be this way, so I hope at least you got to cuddle by the fire this week.
For those who didn’t know yet, House Doctor (that I adore, see proof here) launched their 2011 catalogue and it’s as delicious as only they can do it. I spotted some pictures which had an industrial chic vibe and well, I knew I must share it.
Emily Henderson – the design star
It’s Friday, people! This means that a happy dance is in order right now! TGIF! For a pretty day I have the portfolio of a star for all. And I’m totally serious when saying star, she’s a design star and she’s the winner of HGTV‘s show. Ladies and gents, it’s Emily Henderson I’m speaking about! I loved her aesthetics ever since I first saw one of her designs and now I’m finally sharing with all my love for Emily Henderson! I’m sure there’s no much need to explain why do I adore Emily or how did it happen – it just did and watch out, it will happen to you after you check some of the designs from her portfolio:
‘Neon bright’ home tour
I was flipping through the special edition of Adore magazine the other day and spotted a home tour which is definitely not for everyone! Decorated mostly with dark hues, the home does have pops of bright neon colors seen in coffee tables, decorative letters, wall art and more. And I remembered that I got to see some pictures of the home before yet never knew they belong to one space (and couldn’t even imagine this!). Here are a few pictures:
Home Tour: Nicole Cohen of Sketch42
Rue Magazine issue three went live yesterday and I cannot begin to describe how fabulous it is! Seriously, it was almost surreal to see SO much inspiration in one place, at one time. I perused the issue a few times last night and was nearly not breathing with every single turned page. I adore it, the issue is pure fabulousness and I highly recommend it, you’ll find there everything your heart might desire: fashion, interiors and home tours, shops, mood boards and many behind the scenes pictures and videos! And of course there was one home tour I just couldn’t ignore and that is the home of my fellow blogger Nicole Cohen, author of Sketch42 blog! Her home is to die for! Combining classic, eclectic and modern styles, Nicole’s nest is dreamy! Enough talking, here’s a glimpse at Nicole‘s home (find more in Rue):
