Hello everyone! Good morning and welcome to a new week. Taking another break from Serbian Made, but this doesn’t mean the post I have prepared for you is less inspiring and fabulous. But first of all tell me how are you all, how was your weekend? Did you have snow yet (they say we’ll have snow at the end of this week, so I guess I’m excited about it…or not?).
So you know how big sucker I am for chairs and stools, right? What happens when some killer chairs and stools are galvanized, with a worn industrial look which feel like a breath of fresh air (paradoxical?!) in a modern, country or any other style? I’ll tell you what happens – my new crush: Tolix chairs and stools! I’ve been having my eyes on them for awhile and just find them utterly attractive and charming! Their rough look speaks about the unique style, very contemporary and style-friendly aesthetics of the owner. They look gorgeous in ANY room, seriously! Take a look:

Hi, everyone! TGIF, right? This week seemed to me so so long (I was sick last weekend, so it didn’t actually feel like a weekend at all), on Tuesday I was thinking it’s already Friday, so today I’m REALLY happy to know it is indeed Friday and the weekend is ahead. I want to share with you pictures of a home tour that’s called Villa Villekulla (you know the story of Pippi Longstocking, right? well, the story tells that Pippi lives in Villa Villekulla). The home I’m talking about is so white and crisp with splashes of bright colors seen in the artwork, pieces of furniture, rugs and the rest of the interior. Although it has plenty of white, this home feels more modern than sterile and it actually brought excitement into my heart – I want to move there! So while you’ll check the pictures, I’m going to pack my stuff :)

Books have always been an important part of somebody’s life due to their timeless purpose. From old times people were contemplating them, treasuring and paying respect. Nowadays their meaning didn’t fade at all – we all love reading a good book, getting inspired by it and last, but definitely not least decorating with it. Those times when books were meant to help us develop culturally are gone, they now have a way wider meaning and can be of much more use! Here are a few examples of decorating with books:

Hello, everyone! Can I confess something? I have a dream destination for quite a long while now – Marrakesh! I’m fascinated by the rich culture and that spirit of a this-is-another-world’s city dominating there even nowadays. Maryam, author of My Marrakesh blog has always been an inspiration to me and I cherish every single post she’s writing on her blog. So, my huge wish is to get to Marrakesh one day, meet Maryam and stay at her hotel Peacock Pavilions! A girl can dream, right? Let’s speak about Peacock Pavilions now. OMG! That place is blissful, majorly inspiring and just a beauty out of this world! Golden touches, hand embroidered cushions, hand painted staircases, stunning light fixtures, absolutely mind-blowing decor and colors – this is a small part of what Peacock Pavilions are! Anyone care to join me in my dream destination?

There’s been a long time since chalkboard walls became an interior design trend and all of a sudden many people were lusting after black walls in their homes. Well it was about time for me to add my two cents to the entire thing. And let me tell you that I’m no different than those ‘many people’ I mentioned above. I love black walls and I love them even more if the black is achieved with chalkboard paint! And it’s not even necessary to have chalkboard walls for writing on them, in fact I like them more when they’re so perfectly clean and sharp, the sophisticated look of a wall covered with chalkboard paint says a lot about the modern and screaming style of the owner (all in a good way, of course). There’s something regal and absolutely breathtaking about chalkboard walls, right? And if you feel the limit is exceeded with chalkboard on all the walls then one chalkboard black wall will work perfectly good, giving the room a subtle and very appealing look.

I was completely amazed by this month’s Anthropologie Europe catalogue! A winter wonderland as Anthro says, with plenty of cozy knitted sweaters and cardigans, with rich hues and cold tones, just perfect for a winter to keep you warm. Both clothing and home lines in the catalogue are blissful and just make me want to jump in and live on its pages! Anthropologie always does stunning with styling their catalogues, but this time was something outstanding and magical, I literally gasped when I saw the cover! Without further ado, here a some pictures:

With the days getting colder and colder there’s not much I want to do except stay warm under a blanket, with a cup of hot tea and last, but not least, in a room which feels warm and home-y (the last one is crucial!). And again, it’s not hard to imagine the mentioned room: a big bed, linen sheets, a gorgeous chandi, candles like there’s no tomorrow and fur! Well, let’s stop on the last one. Isn’t fur just the coziest and most stylish accessory in a room? A fur throw is undoubtedly the must-have in a space simply because there’s nothing else that will warm you as fur will do and not to mention how amazing it looks gracefully placed on a sofa or bed. All at once, fur will bring some romance in your life too (and room), its elegance it’s not something to be missed out. Opt for faux fur, it’s affordable, but will definitely have the same impact.

Hello, friends! Today is Monday and as you all know, Serbian Monday is here for a slice of local loveliness. Today I have as a featured artist a young company, Unicut Designers, founded by two designers who are creating wall stickers! That’s the first company that big here in Serbia and so far the only one doing this and by this I mean designing wall decals as you wish, cutting them and applying on the wall. They can do whatever your heart desires! You can choose the pattern and shape, colors and size – can you imagine the freedom you’re given? I think I’d love on every single wall their stickers! Not only you can order customized decals which are exactly what you need, Unicut Designers‘ collection of stickers in stock is pretty impressive! From urban to floral to funny stickers – they have your back on everything! P.S. For now you can see on their site samples of urban and decor stickers, but within the next few days, the gallery will be completely filled, so remember to check back!

Happy Friday, sunshines! Sunny day outside and I’m feeling so lazy today, although I know I’m not allowed :). Ok, first thing first: thank you all so much for the sweetest words of encouragement in my new venture! Yesterday, the entire day I could feel the huge love from my Twitter and Facebook friends, from readers who sent me congratulations by email – don’t ever forget that this means SO MUCH to me and it gives me strength and energy to achieve more and be better every day! THANK YOU!
On another note, I’ve been lately noticing changes in my aesthetic and style interior-wise, you know? If some months ago I was completely enchanted by country, cozy homes with a rustic peaceful atmosphere, then later in time I was blown away by splashes of color in interiors, with patterns galore and an overall modern ambiance – well, guess what: now this has changed as well! For the past few weeks I’ve been more and more attracted by classic and glamorous interiors with high ceilings, rich texture, tufted furniture, crystal chandeliers and timeless colors such as black, brown, beige, golden – pretty chic, right?!
