Color+Inspiration: Chartreuse+Fuchsia

Hello, sweets! How are you? I’m dying to know what’s happening in your side of the world, things are busy with me and am feeling a bit overwhelmed with everything what’s happening in my life at the moment (all good!), but tell me more about you! I wanted to take the time and thank you all who voted for me in the October challenge on Design Refuge, I can feel all your support and this is making me so proud and honored to have such fabulous readers, thank you so much for everything!

Back to my post, last week, I’ve been scanning some old magazines I had and was amazed by how inspiring at the moment can be pages which you flipped through months ago! Seriously, I felt like I’m looking at the images with different eyes and it was so great to get fresh ideas from an old issue of a design mag! Case in point, I saw a picture where there was a living room decorated with chartreuse and fuchsia (screaming colors!) and touches of brown and white. I mean hello! I blogged about chartreuse and fuchsia, but in different posts and now I saw them together and it’s quite a stunning combo, if I say so myself!

One Sydney Road + your help needed

Hello, my lovelies! If you’re in blogland, you know the always supportive and inspiring Piper, author of one sydney road blog. Well, guess what, Piper now has an online shop, which went live yesterday in all its glory and it’s a real treat for the eyes! Not only Piper has gorgeous items which can be purchased, the shop is visually SO pleasant, with stunning pictures to surely keep you interested in browsing more and more. Piper worked very hard on her shop for the last couple of months, meeting deadlines and dealing with meltdowns as well as exciting moments, but the final result erased all that was once stressful and frustrating, leaving the feeling of a major accomplishment! Believe me – one sydney road shop is worth your look! And your money too :).

Wooden dream in Southern Spain

Hello, everyone! It’s Monday and it’s 1st of November, which means a new start of the week AND of the month! Can you believe it’s already November? So, the traditional Serbian Monday is off today (the article about another Serbian artist is postponed until next week due to a few complications), so I have for you today a delightful home tour. You saw that lately I’ve been very enamored with the warmth of a wooden home, paired with crispy white walls and bright popping details everywhere, so this home in Southern Spain is my dream home, people! The very first second I saw it, it took my breath away and just made my heart skip a beat! The home brings warmth, a home-y atmosphere and the perfect feeling for a happy life! The thrifted vintage accessories add a bohemian touch, to only increase the level of charm! Here are some pictures:

Moj Stan November 2010

Hi everyone and happy Thursday! Few weeks ago I posted for the first time a review of a Serbian design magazine, Moj Stan (see here) and now I have a new issue of it to share with you, November 2010. This magazine never disappoints and now was no exception, showcasing plenty of fall vignettes, color palettes and an overall inspiring content, Moj Stan also took us to a virtual trip to Istanbul with all its magic, it invited us to visit a delightful home in Germany and shared with us a few DIY projects which are always charming and so easy (perfect for me!). Again, if you’re local, I suggest you to buy it, meantime I’ll share some pictures I liked the most:

Home Tour: Milan Stefanovic

Hello! I have for you an exciting post featuring the home of a Serbian designer and architect, one of the owners of Antipod Studio, specializing in interior + furniture design and architecture (will blog about Antipod Studio in the near future). Milan Stefanovic designed his home by himself, interacting modern style with a livable atmosphere and a neat look. Seriously, his home is so visually clean and uncluttered that it’s relaxing for the eyes to look at! Milan used few of Ana Kras designs, like the hive lamp and noodle side table, but of course I spotted some pieces of furniture branded Antipod Studio, like the U-turn chair and 100sto side table.

Stone walls – yay or nay?

Hello everyone! Happy Wednesday to all! Once again I want to apologize for being away yesterday all day, you haven’t received any updates from me on Twitter and Facebook, but I’m back today, with your daily slice of inspiration on Facebook and lots of creative tweets, so come join me!

In other news: you know, I’ve been thinking lately about stone walls in a room, trying to figure out how do I feel about them: is this a modern look, which is about someone’s personal style or is it only a cold detail, which, as I think, doesn’t bring any coziness to a room? Don’t get me wrong, I’ve seen lots of homes with stone walls (or at least a portion of the wall covered with stones) and I do think that if the owner feels comfortable with them, it’s fantastic. However, I wouldn’t go with stone walls in my own home, I’ll not stand their unfinished look and am sure will never feel entirely warm in that home.

So, I’m asking for your opinion now: yay or nay? Give your votes!

House Doctor – Everyday 2010

Perhaps I’m late to the party and you all know about the Danish furniture and interior design company House Doctor and their online catalogs, but I’ll still post about it here, there is never too much inspiration, right? I came across it yesterday and was smitten by their Everyday 2010 collection (the previous one is called Moments 2010). These collections are nothing else than catalogs with House Doctor products, nicely put together in utterly inspiring pictures! Whoever did the styling of the catalogs did a fabulous job! You should definitely check Moments 2010, it has such a warm holiday feeling to it (it was launched in January), meanwhile here are a few sneak peeks of their Everyday collection:

WD Bathrooms

Hi everyone! Let’s talk about bathrooms right now, shall we? I know I blogged about them a few times already (here and here for example) speaking about colors, personality and so on, however I never touched the other part: the more technical one: bathroom supplies and accessories. Isn’t that great when you feel you have finally found the perfect company to purchase all the accessories for your bathroom? Well, I think I just found this company. WD Bathrooms is a Sheffield based company (UK) specializing in bathroom sales. They exist already for seven years, so I guess they’re worth your trust and attention. Not only WD Bathrooms have a variety of products which will surely satisfy any customer, their staff is the kindest you’ve ever met, always there to help. Here are some of their products:

Color+Inspiration: White, Black & Camel

Hello, my friends! We’re on half way to weekend, so get excited, we’re almost there! Yesterday while flipping through my brand new and first issue of Norwegian Elle Interior I came across a picture which had me enlightened. How didn’t I think before about black, white and camel color combination? I mean in my book these three colors are the image of modern, stylish yet warm and cozy interiors! Just feels this way! A timeless inspiring look of a black and white space is undoubtedly the chicest thing ever, but when these two are accompanied by a natural, indeed a warm shade (and don’t get me started on how trendy camel is this season, both in fashion and interior design!) you know that you did GOOD!

Stylist Lo Bjurulf

Lo Bjurulf is a Swedish prop stylist, set designer and overall a fabulous artist! Whatever she does is pure perfection, every detail has its own wow-factor and I doubt I’ve seen something similar in the last couple months. Actually I’m so impressed with Lo’s work, I can hardly find the right words to express my admiration and love for her portfolio, I could stare hours and hours without blinking, seriously!

How are you today? Although outside the weather is awful (raining all day long like crazy) and I’m feeling lazy and sleepy, I can call this day a success mainly because I got in my mail Norwegian Elle Interior thanks to Dagny! So exciting! Thank, girl! Also, I set up a Tumblr account, but I can’t call this a success, I can’t figure out how to find people so I can follow them. So I have an idea, if you have a tumblr account, follow me and I’ll follow you back, we’ll all be happy :).

Ok, enough chit chat, here’s the gorgeousness of Lo Bjurulf:
