Hi everyone! I bet you all at some point in your life needed some tips or even a guide about wood flooring. So here you have it on creamylife! Ran from Wood and Beyond has put together a post about wood flooring in order to make it easier for you. Take a look:
MUUTO
On Saturday I was in Supermarket as you all know. So while the other girls were lusting after designer clothes and shoes (they’re allowed, after all they’re fashion bloggers) I was having my eyes on lamps, furniture, pottery and this kind of things. That’s when I spotted Muuto, a company bringing a modern twist into Scandinavian design. Supermarket carries their products and I was simply in love with Muuto stuff! FYI, muutos means perspective in Finnish and I think that this is a pretty amazing name for a company. Muuto’s products are clean, modern and the best of them is that they’re colorful and vibrant! I needed to share with you my find, so please enjoy!
Château de Chantilly
I tweeted yesterday that my husband surprised me with a design magazine when he came back from work, remember right? Well, he bought an issue of French Art & Decoration which is a pure treasure! This magazine is the queen of mood boards, first of all! So many of them: boho, wood and colorful inspiration, I couldn’t stop staring! However, one article caught my attention and it was about a château in France, the town Chantilly called Château de Chantilly. That place is marvelous, people! High ceilings, plenty of velvet fabric which is divine, gold accessories galore, stunning artwork, rich hues and mid-century ambiance to name a few of the gorgeous details of the château! One thing to say – take me there!!! Here are pictures:
2 by Fryd magazine
I’m sure you remember when back in May I wrote about an online magazine authored by Jeanette Lunde (see here). Well, I’ve been dying to see the second issue of the e-mag and it finally happened! 2 by Fryd is out today! Jeanette shared with everybody the result of her work from the last couple months and she didn’t disappoint one more time. The magazine is nothing, but an inspiring place filled with airy pictures and blissful colors! Hundred pages of pretty colors, light atmosphere and let me tell you that it’s a delight to flip through its pages! As every decent mag, 2 by Fryd will tempt you with food and travel photography, home tour and more, so run don’t walk!
Home Tour: Eclectic and charming
I spotted this home in casaviva Serbia, a design mag which is as inspiring as you can imagine! The home belongs to Branko Klanscek, who’s living in Belgrade and whose home was once the atelier of famous Serbian painters: Ljubisa Naumovic, Pedja Milosavljevic and Marko Krsmanovic (I know none of them and I’m embarrassed). He restored everything, keeping that artsy feeling though, so today Branko’s home is an eclectic place, with ethnic touches, traditional warm wood and high-end pieces. However altogether it does feel home-y and livable.
Lonny mag celebratory issue
Hi everyone! How are you and how was your weekend? Normally I don’t post on Sunday, but today is an exception, first of all because is 10/10/10 (kinda like the combination) and secondly because today is Lonny‘s birthday and the magazine turned 1! Happy birthday to Lonny! Their celebratory issue went live today and it didn’t disappoint this time as well! Plenty of inspiring pictures, gorgeous home tours and some seriously awesome contributors: Cassandra, Katie and Eddie to name a few! I won’t say more, go and check it out by yourself! I just know that my relationship with Lonny mag is profoundly cherished and dear, I always will anxiously wait for a new issue, savoring every single image!
Happy weekend with Adore Home
Well, I guess this is becoming a tradition! (leaving you with pretty images from new online magazines, that is. remember last week’s post). Adore Home magazine hit the virtual stands yesterday, so I couldn’t help but share it here with you (even though some of you may have already seen it). The magazine is a gem and what makes me even happier is that two if my favorite Aussie girls, Dana of Yellowtrace and Louise of Table Tonic (remember her stunning shop?), are featured there showcasing their beautiful homes (Dana’s office only! check her home tour here). So yes, I thought Adore Home would be a perfect way to say good bye for the weekend, so have a fabulous time, friends! Oh and don’t forget to relax! xoxo
Interior designer Mary McDonald
The name Mary McDonald wasn’t new to me, however the portfolio of this fabulous interior designer was a real find this morning! Mary McDonald is a young LA-based designer known in the industry as a person whose style is “old-fashioned elegance with a modern sensibility resulting in a fearless, joyful exuberance”. She was named as one of the Top 100 Designers by House Beautiful and her aesthetic shows a livable harmony of colors, serenity and touch of glamor here and there. Mary’s input to a room she designs is like no other, so each space has its own atmosphere and charm, whether it’s a traditional or contemporary style.
Home Tour: Crystal Gentilello
You know who is Crystal, right? Blogger behind Plush Palate, founder and editor-in-chief of Rue magazine! Her home was featured in the 1st issue of Rue (blogged here), but I couldn’t help myself and just had to post about it on creamylife, because Crystal is close to be my idol and the image of a modern perfection! She’s young, ambitious, knowing what she wants to do and be, her sense of aesthetics is able to amaze others (like me) and what I see in Crystal is a person who I want to be when I grow up, whom I want to learn from about style, art and everything that makes this life beautiful. Crystal’s home is no surprise a serene place, in pastel colors meant to bring joy and the perfect, calming atmosphere for a warm home. Not to mention how stylish that place is! It oozes European charm and I tell you it’s blissful! Here are some pictures, the entire tour can be seen in Rue.
A new emag & happy weekend
Well, I guess I can say this week is over and now would be the right time to wish you all very happy weekend! And there’s no better way than with another online magazine, new to me, but amazingly inspiring! Have you heard of Covet Garden? That’s the name of the emag which is so full of eye candy and beautiful images, is a must see, people! You can find there vintage and modern, bold and muted – absolutely everything your heart desires! Here are some pictures.
Have a smashing weekend, friends!
