LAMA Design

Hey there! I’m going to introduce to you now a gorgeous shop named LAMA Design! The girl behind this shop (and blog) put a big smile on my face! I just read her ‘about‘ page and must admit I didn’t read a bio funnier than this! “She must be very creative and easy-going” I thought and headed to the gallery of products she’s selling. And I don’t regret at all! Everything is so full of passion, colors and Latin! The owner of LAMA moved from San Francisco to Latin America to find  artisanal inspiration and bring it to the rest of the world through her online shop. Please take a look at these hotties:

Keep It Open

Good morning, lovelies! Do you know what I’m loving today? Open shelving in the kitchen! I think this is such a great idea, modern and cost-effective (dare to try it as a DIY project?). In my dream kitchen I have *only* open shelves – to display my vintage dishes and glass jars, I bet this sounds great for everybody! The open shelves give the impression of wider, with more space which is a good trick if your kitchen isn’t that big! Plus it’s very neat and organized and will fill your kitchen with a cozy feeling – you’ll want to stay there forever! Here is some inspiration:

Melanie Acevedo Photography

Melanie Acevedo is a New York based photographer who discovered her love for photography while studying Illustration art in Paris. She says it was love at first sight and I could see this love in her portfolio. Seriously, I could feel the major excitement that contributed to the photo shooting! I hope this doesn’t sound funny, because I really mean it, it was the first time I felt this! Her portfolio is truly impressive and so is the list of her clients (which is more stunning than impressive). While checking the photo gallery on Melanie’s site I couldn’t help myself but smile and feel  the warmth of her photography – it made me so happy, you’ll understand what I mean when you see the pictures:

Color+Inspiration: Tangerine

Hi, dear readers! How have you been? I have a BIG news to share with you before I start blogging! Since today I’m officially a contributor on a Serbian site related to interior design called Enterijer.rs! I’m so honored to be a part of such a talented team working there, I’m really REALLY excited and look forward bringing my design thoughts there! But this doesn’t mean I’ll be blogging less on CreamyLife, no way! After all, this is my first and biggest experience in blogging :).

Alright, back to my post. I must admit I was craving femininity last 2 days: pale pinks and peaches, romantic bedrooms with tulle curtains, warm sun rays  – doesn’t this sound fabulous?! It does! However, I’ll blog about something completely different! I’ve seen lots of tangerine lately on the Internet, a bright, joyful color able to cheer up my romantic mood! So I thought I’d give it a try! Here are some inspirational pictures:

Indoor Hanging Chairs

I’m loving today chairs, more precisely – hanging (swing) chairs, love them more if they’re indoor, but outside sounds also exciting! That’s my current dream, I guess – I’d die for a hanging chair in my living room or bedroom (to have it only for me). Seriously, an indoor swing chair would be totally awesome – a sheep skin thrown on it+a favorite magazine make a lovely time spending and yes, I can only dream about it! Or look at pictures on the Internet and then share with you – the idea seems good to me!

You do remember the post from few days ago about the crush that I have for prints, right? Like every crush of mine it happened out of the blue, I was getting inspiration on Etsy when I saw a very sweet shop there called My Sweet Prints. Perhaps you guessed, prints for nurseries and baby-related! Aw, seriously how something can be sweeter than this? I melted instantly! Please take a look and tell I’m not crazy! Can you tell the baby fever has taken domination over me again?

Todd Alexander Romano

New York based decorator Todd Alexander Romano is well-known for over 17 years of work! His decorating skills have an eclectic, juvenile approach, the main feature Todd is opting for is comfort, fresh colors and accessories that describe the owner the best! Want my opinion? This sounds PERFECT to me! Of course, every interior designer or decorator must design spaces that will work for the client’s well-being and comfy living. You think the same? Then you need Todd Alexander Romano! Some of his work from the portfolio:

A glamorous home tour: Kari Schlegel

Good morning, honnies! First things first. I’ll write now about a home that was introduced to me by the lovely Jen of Made by Girl. Oh.My.God. I can’t get my mind off of it! It’s absolutely fabulous, charming, stylish, GLAMOROUS and so adorable! Alright, let me explain. The father of  Kari & Kirby Schlegel decided to split a penthouse in 2 parts, building homes for both sister and brother. Designers and architects worked with Kari & Kirby and they made up unbelievable beautiful yet functional homes for them! I’ll show you now Kari’s part (not that I didn’t like Kirby’s home). So, please relax, take a deep breath and try not to be too jealous :).

Modern kids’ room

Somebody can wonder why a kid needs a modern room? I hope this post will answer this question. We live in the 21st century when absolutely everything gets rid of the traditional look, putting on a whimsical modern appeal. So does a kid’s room. Nowadays kid’s room need few, but so important details such as: space, functionality and let’s say it aloud – to be cool! To show their friends the brand new computer or the girly stylish built-in wardrobe!  And while I’m totally against the over-estimated pride the wealthy kids may (it’s not an affirmation) have (we’re all people and we’re the same), I can now tell you that everyone can transform their son’s or daughter’s room without many efforts  or expenses (that is another post already!). For now, here is some inspiration how does a modern kid’s room look:

Color+Inspiration: Mint

Oh well, I showed you my new crush and now would be the perfect moment to write about the color that inspires me today and that will be mint color! I’ve seen a lot of mint in blogland lately and I must admit, only looking at the color makes me feel its freshness and the aromatic scent! Being a color between apple green, lime, aqua (and maybe more) mint comes in different shades: mint green, mint gray, mint blue, so I searched for inspirational pictures that are about all these shades (don’t be surprised if you see quite different mint color). Mint also turns to be a  calming color, perfect for a kitchen, dining room, nursery – oh well, it’d be great in every room, I guess! I hope you like the inspiration I found:
